    What you guys think......

As I am getting my new protocol dialed in (100mg cyp every 5 days, 250 hcg 2days before test, no ai) I wonder about asking to add Mesterolone (Proviron ) to bind to my SHBG to move up my free test. Of course, this is dependent on BW. First set of BW with new DR (thus new protocol) showed me having low test and low free (8 on Quest Labs) and me sensitive E2 was also low (12) and SHBG around 62 (if I remember). Dr thought my previous dr missed on my undiagnosed hypothyroidism (which I am taking med to raise it). I will get new BW in June (12 weeks into new protocol) If my test will go up ( I am sure of it Dr wants me in upper range) and my free test is not there (Dr wants it upper 20's) and my SHBG continues to go up, do you think this would be good option? Taking stinging nettle now and will see if I need to continue with it on next BW. Thoughts, brothers?

    Thanks

No. Not a good option. See what your BW has to say first. Proviron is a DHT and will suppress shbg but it's only temporary. The quickest way to suppress shbg is to add testosterone , which you are doing with TRT. So, lets see where it lands with your next BW and go from there. Stinging Nettle will help as will supplementing with Vit D which is well known to lower shbg and allow more free T. It's called a vitamin but it's actually a hormone! Most all are low so be sure you test your 25 Hydroxy as well during your next pull. 5K IU's per day of D3 is pretty much a normal dose to start with if low. I used D and nettle to effectively lower my shbg. There are some really good threads here on D. Search them up. Or google pubmed / vitamin D and read up.

There is one other prescription item some docs will use to lower shbg. Research Danazol if you like. Again, it's temporary and your best route is mentioned above, IMHO.

Couple more things. Your BW should be 6 weeks into your new protocol, not 12. Your hcg should probably be at least twice per week as well. Either both one and two days prior to your T or just two consistent days.

Everything was tanked according to my previous BW but will mention it to DR Your hcg should probably be at least twice per week as well. Again I appreciate the feedback!

    Glad you're on D.

Normal for me is 480mg x 2 per day with nettle. I'm currently taking a break for a while so I can get BW and see if there's a noticible difference in DHT level, etc. Keep in mind it's a fine line with nettle as it can lower DHT as well which is responsible for all things male. DHT gets a bad rap that it does not deserve. Test converts to dht everywhere in the body except skeletal muscle via the 5-AR enzyme.

Yep, you confused me with your HCG protocol. Glad it's correct.

appreciate it. I agree that DHT can get a bad rap. Have you noticed a relationship with the nettle dropping the DHT and lowering SHBG? For instance every 1 pt drop in DHT is there the same pt drop in SHBG? Is there a relational ratio between the two that you know of?
