    Test and arthritis

I am fat and as a result have arthritic knees. I have always controlled the pain with NSAIDs like naproxen. About the time I got serious about low T I could not control my knee pain. I need cortisone injections and vicodins. It's terrible to have to take a narcotic to control my pain.

I noticed within two days after my first injection of 50mg Test Cyp my knees hurt less, and when they did I took some naproxen. I could feel the naproxen kicking in half an hour later. Within an hour my knees felt like a year ago.

Is there any literature to support these observation? Placebo?

Interesting. Maybe TRT promotes more fluid in the joints? Just a guess. I still have my usual aches & pains though regardless lols...

I spoke with my pain management Specialist about this and he gave his thoughts on the issiue in the direction that the muscles were getting stronger and taking stress off the joints ? No actual pain relief from the Test but the Test and increased strenght took away the bone to bone stress ?

With respect to joint fluids. I made the comment to my wife that the rest of the day after an injection me knees felt like they had been lubricated. Interesting.

Still, I cannot help but think that somehow TRT made the naproxen work better too.

I still have normal aches and pains too. lolz

Pain loss for me was 48 hours after first injection. Seriously, zero time to lose weight or strengthen muscles. If it had taken 20-30 weeks to have the pain go away I would not have asked. 36-48 hours and my knee joint pain was similar to 5 years ago! Well before my accident.
