Increase HCG IU for increase sperm production?
I'm on 250iu mwf with my TRT. Due to the fact that Im trying to knock the wife up, should I increase hcg to 500iu every other day?? 500 is still considered a low dose by the experts. I will include a link that I found on another thread on this forum. I completely understand that high doses over saturate leydig cells but from the research I've done it would take 2000 + IU for that to be an issue. just wanted to see what you guys thought about this. 500iu every other day rather than 250iu mwf to maintain fertility?

Gonna give this. Little bump...I know more is not always better but is more better for a higher percentage of maintaining fertility regarding hcg ?

I am curious about this as well. I am on HCG with TRT to maintain fertility.

I know that can't get my lady knocked up while in TRT and 250iu 3xweek. I been trying for a year with no luck.
However, they may be more factors then just your fertility. Get hers check as well and it also may require a act if god too, figuratively speaking.

I've been taking clomid 25mg daily with my cyp, hcg , and anastrozole. And here I thought I was the only one!!! My dr. Prescribed it in hopes of keeping fertility stable. Congrats on the new addition.
Trace, I go for a semen analysis on the 17th. Been on TRT for 3 months, semen analysis 12 months ago showed I was good to go but never had any luck with knocking up the wife. She's been to the doc as well and is fertile and ovulates on a regular basis. Not sure why we can't get lucky??? It's discouraging and disappointing. Trying to keep my head up though.Last edited by VTX1800; 05-08-2013 at 05:05 PM.

Nope man ur not alone! Over on ************ they have a HUGE thread about taking clomid even while on hrt such as u do! It elevates test... Keeps them boys pumping that kid batter and really helps!
Even if ur wife is fertile mertile it cant hurt to throw some clomid her way! It helps drop them eggs and stuff! Wife needed clomid for the first 2 kids and i got boys
Just so happens when i take clomid she gets prego and now we have a girl on the way!!! Wow! A girl... Damn im scared now and gotta buy a chastity belt and a shotgun! Haha just for fear when them boys start comming around haha

To much HCG can cause two very unwanted things:
1). Increased intratesticular aromatase activity which an AI is largely ineffective in managing.
2) Down regulation and desensitization of the receptors on the Leydig cells. This in turn can cause a Primary Hypogonadal state and the last thing in the world you need.
IMO, and other clinicians I trust as well, believe that a man never needs anymore than 350 iu in any given day and certainly nothing over 500 iu in any given 24 hours.

Ok guys. Not in the same boat here - not trying to get wife pregnant. 46 yr old, 2 teenage daughters, no more kids on the way- not pissible as I got snipped 20 yrs ago.
I have been on trt cyp 200mg weekly for 1 year now. Great results. Love it. I take hcg 250 iu weekly. For the last 6 months my load has gone down from what use to be a lot - like I was a good 5 pumper and now I get like 2 small blows. Im serious. Wife even made comment that im not as messy as I used to be. So what is the deal? And It is not cause I am taking care of it on my own. I take zinc, l-arginine drink a gallon of water a day. Still not pumping. Help!!!!

Only something like 3% of your "load" is sperm so you still ejaculate after you get snipped just no sperm.

Go with 250 3x a week like Mon, Tues and Fri mornings and see how you feel and how big your load is if that's important to you.
This is a very common HCG protocol.

Austinite wrote about a lecithin experiment in a thread a while back. You should search for it. I haven't tried it but lecithin is supposed to increase your volume of ejaculate.

For volume use Lecithin @ 3600 to 4200mg daily.

So adding 250Iu more to a mwf 250iu routine is more likely to elevate e2 to uncontrollable levels and not increase fertility more so than just 250iu. I guess it's just a hard question to ask and an even harder answer to explain since nobody really knows the outcome of 250vs500 iu protocols. I wish there were more scientific research performed on hcg and fertility while on TRT. After reviewing the research performed on the above noted study, I really wouldn't think 500 iu would be TOO much and cause issues with e2. I guess I will find out when my next BW is performed and WHEN the wife gets prego.
