    TRT and liver values

    Guys,

I am on TRT for about 1,5 years. 125 mgs ew
Recent check showed that my liver enzymes are highly elevated.

    asat - 60 ( 0 - 34)
    Alat 150 (0-40)

I used aromasin at 10 mg 12 hours after each shot. I dont use any other drugs, neither alchohol.

Decided to repeat the test after a 2 weeks, stopped aromasin and coffee.
    The results are tha same.

According to my doc it is from the test. I find this absurd as I use test enan in not high doses.
My diet is high in proteins and low on carbs - trying to cut.

I know that weightlifting increases liver enzmes, high proteins and low carbs diets too, but the figures above seems too high. Can in really be from the TRT?
Anyone here with high enzymes due to TRT?

Also I made all hepatitis tests - negative.
Considering to stop the protein shakes for a week - there are a lot of preservative ingridients there and hope thats the problem.

Elevated liver enzymes can be caused by just about anything BUT Testosterone unless you are taking an oral version which I highly doubt.

    Inflammation is the big culprit.

And all the reasons you noted above are the more likely.

Don't screw with your protocol as it's not the cause.

    Thanks Bro.

The problem is that every time i try to speak with different docs the same conversation follows.
    - Tell me do you use any drugs?
    - Nope, but I am TRT patient.
    - Thats definitely the reason all kind of steroids are bad for your liver.

TRT is not commonly known in Bulgaria as it is in USA.

As I read a lot of topics on the net, inflammation is more likely to increase Asat, but not alat values.
However I am determined to try all options (not training for a while, stop shakes) except coming off TRT. Cant stand he depresion.

Back in the day when steroids were oral liver problems were a huge issue.

Today with TD's and injectable Testosterone it's not a problem as it never has a first pass effect as it's directly injected into the blood stream and completely bypasses the liver.

Ask these "Doctor's" what the hell they were taught in Med School not to know that injected Testosterone never sees the liver...ever!

Hmmm I just started trt in feb 2013. My Ast and alt were in normal range when I started. 8 weeks later my Ast went from 25 to 37 w limit 40 and my alt went from 29 to 73 with limit 60.

So I went up too. Dietwise I did increase my protein and calorie intake from about 3000 a day close to 5000 a day to bulk.

Bulgaria? My wife is from there and she wants me to go visit her family soon. Are you taking any liver support supplements?

I tried several supps - like liv52, carsil, essencial forte even transmetil. No one helped me with the enzymes.

Everything you put in your body goes through your liver at some point. By being injected, it just avoids the first pass.
But it places no real strain on the liver, unlike 17aa steroids.

Well I know that much test (like when cycling) can be bad for liver, because it tries to convert your body to its balance by destroying it. However my levels are just a little over the scale 31( 8-28) 24 hours after the shot and in the middle before my next shot, so this explanation doesnt make sense.
Also I do pharma grade enan so no bacteria, heavy metlas and other toxic shit from there.

most likely your level went up due to training and diet. like GD noted test is not the problem. my liver levels were worse before TRT, now they are in the lower teens. they do go up when I train heavy and consume lots of food. pain killers have a negative effects as well.

    What about water?
    Have you recently moved?
I'm looking for sources of toxins/pollutants.
It could just be from lifting too much before the test.
Start taking NAC, drink bottled water, avoid working out for a week before the bloodwork.

I am also loking for these sources. I drink almost only bottled water.
Will stop the protein powders and the vitamins (too much niacin in the those on the shelf) for a week and check again. If thats not the reason I am going to stop the training and check again.
