    A-fib and TRT

I was on TRT for about three years and then I found out I had A-fib. The Doctors took me off the therapy until my heart beat was corrected. They then allowed me to return. After about six weeks the a-fib returned. I am now taking a heart rhythm Medicean and beta blockers. I have been off Tes. For about five months my total T is 260 my estrogen is 190. My LH and FSH is at bottom normal range and i mean very bottom. My doctor said i could go on very small doses if i need to but i am afraid of doing more damage. My question is this. I have been reading on ways to lower estrogen naturally with zinc, DIM, omega3 magnesium, Selinium, b vitamins and vitamin E. I know this is a long list but has anyone tried these to lower estrogen. I am also curious to know if i get my estrogen down will it raise my testosterone to an adequate level.

Your problem is far worse than thinking some supplementation is going to help.

Your use of exogenous Testosterone has your HPTA suppressed. It's why your LH and FSH serum levels are so low and why your testosterone serum levels are low.

When you stopped your protocol your "Physician" should have prescribed a HPTA re-start protocol which would get your ability to produce testosterone naturally. It almost never restarts on its own and its why your blood work presents like it does.

Your Doctors don't know what they are doing.

As for your Estrogen levels, they are in a very dangerous level and they need to come down with an prescribed Aromatase Inhibitor like Anastrozole as soon as humanly possible.

I can only imagine that you must just feel like total shit.

    Your Doctors are hurting you.

Yes. I feel like crap. I am depressed unmotivated and moody with no sex drive. I have arimidex and HCG but i am reluctant to use it without a doc. I am in a catch 22. I get free health care thru my Indian tribe but the doctors are not that knowledgable on TRT. What is the hpta protocol. Can I do it with HCG and arimidex.

^^^^Someone please explain to me how in today's advanced modern medicine that something like this treatment can happen to a man?

Disgusting and unlawful to say the least.

bbrock: I will get to you soon with some options.

No it will not work with just those two compounds.

    bbrock,

A few things here. I agree with your physicians to take you off TRT until the A-fib is controlled by either medications or ablation surgery. Once managed its ok to go back on TRT. Heres the deal, When you take exogenous form of testosterone your RBCs can increase raising your hematocrit and hemoglobin. Especially if you have sleep apnea this can be aggravated greatly If you have a electrophysiological issue with your heart like A-fib if the viscosity of your blood gets two thick with RBCs this can put you at risk for DVT/blood clots. No good!

It might be wise depending how long your doc plans to take you off TRT to put you on a medication like Clomid or HCG to keep HPTA going so there is no crash. It can take awhile for your HPTA and your natural T to come back. But in most healthy men it only takes 4-6 weeks. So not crucial...You won't die. But you will feel crummy until HPTA kicks back in.

As far as you estrogen goes. 190 pg/ml is super high. you can try 50mg of Zinc/3-5mg copper to control. But the gold standard for controlling estradiol would be anastrozole. Your doctors should of told you this. The whole purpose of TRT is to optimize T and control estradiol. It is the high estrogen that is harmful along with DHT to prostate. Not the testosterone.

Let me know how it goes,

Isn't it dangerous to take someone off exogenous as well. This is the response from Dr Scally when asked about hypogonadism and increased risks of cardiovascular events. Dr Scally reply...There are numerous studies demonstrating the relationship between low testosterone levels and adverse cardiovascular events, as well as stroke. Also, there are case study reports of people who stop anabolic steroids , and then suffer a heart attack.
In the book that I wrote, one of the studies in the published literature, looking at the effects of anabolic steroids in certain populations, for 12 weeks, did not look at the patients after they stopped the drug. If you want to look at the effects of these , you need to see what happens when you stop them. I filed a Freedom of Information Act to obtain the patient records. One of the patients actually suffered a heart attack within four weeks of stopping the anabolic steroid . The details, including the original patient records, of this case are reported in my book.

100%......do you feel dosage level would dictate cardiac events post cycle?
I was on a very CONSERVATIVE dose of TrenA/ Test- Deca - anadrol compound and HGH 1.5IU. AI was Letrozole . These substances were all dosed at an HRT level or maybe a little more but nowhere near the needs of the competitive lifter/seasoned lifter. It was reasonable
I went to the ER with arithmea and came out 2 days later with a stent in the LAD(80pct blocked).
The blockage has nothing to do with AAS use but the timing of the arithmea is curious.
    No PCT

    47 yrs
    6foot 3
    228 lbs
19 pct body ft (bod pod)
I run 3 miles 3 times a week at a 10 min mile pace. Feel good.

I had Arithmea(hrt rate 120-145) oddly right after I ceased said cycle. Mt Sinai classified it as a mild heart attack but my cardiologist said I was lucky as hell to even get the heart cath.

Any opinions you share are of course not binding and all choices I make with my body are my decision and my responsibility

First and foremost you need be under care of a really good Physician Please do not take my words lightly. This is just one of those things that way out of the spectrum of this or any fourm. I would find a EXPERT locally and I would email Dr. Scally directly to see if this is something help you with or consult with who ever find to work with locally. I will post back his email shortly. They may have been trt doses but they are not trt compounds.

Will do....and again thanks. I have a TON of questions. It could be totally UN related to anything I have injected or ingested.
On the other hand.............it could kill me and widow my wife and kids
Not a fun discussion and these substances are serious business. I had GREAT results and felt GREAT. I was energized and motivated and I look good(for an old guy) My doses were mild and 12 week (no slingShot). I ate well. I ran my ass off.

    sad

I cannot get to your email
my email is in my profile....and you likely can access my profile

I need a good primary care guy. My cardiologist is highly touted but he knows nothing of the "other" stuff that was going on and certainly would pass out if I even brought it up.
