Has anyone else had drastic changes in their lifestyle since starting TRT?
I have really changed allot since starting TRT four months ago. Most of the changes are good, but some are down right strange, considering the fact that I'm 40 years old.
I Have become very affectionate and a huger.
No longer like sweets or chocolate.
My style of clothing has gone from business casual, to sneakers and tees.
My style of music has changed from Classic Rock to Rap.
I am ultra attracted to younger women, before I was into MILFs.
My style of car has changed, went from a Lexus LS 460L to a Raptor F150.
NOT afraid of anyone or anything.
I am not sure if this is all TRT related or mid-life crisis??????

I'm 37 so close in age.
I have definitely noticed MUCH more assertiveness on my part. Muscle bulk has increased significantly (I'm up 15 lbs on the scale and all my lifts are up... for example, I'm up 65 lbs. from where I was a year ago on bench and I could never break through the weight I was on at that time).
I've always liked just about every kind of music. I also still like MILFs, but I do find younger women more attractive now than I used to.

wow that is a lot of different changes. sounds almost like a midlife crisis thing, have you dyed your hair (I noticed men in mid life crises allways seen to change the color of their hair OR get a earring? lol). well I just commented so it would BUMP you cuz Im interested to see if others have noticed this in them as well ?

The hair is all good, no need for dye, because I'm blonde..

I think a lot of ot may have.to do with increased virility and the change that happens on a lifters brain (men anyways) when they start to feel strong instead of out of shape, weak. Couple that with the feeling in mid life where the realization youre aging and its starting to show hits you. If you hit the gym at that point in life you actually turn the click back noticeably. Physically and mentally, you feel and look younger. That contributes to increased well being, which manifests as increased.confidence, virility, etc. I think the feeling that youre more attracted to younger women is that you feel they may actually be attainable whereas as an aging out of shape forty something you looked at MILFS more because the 24 year old was so out of your league there was no point. This coming from a formerly fat, out of shape 40-something lol.

In answer to your question, yes I've changed. Before: no sex; didn't care.
Now: Yes sex; want more sex.
Oh, and my physique has changed dramatically. But, that could be because of diet and HIT training.Last edited by Rusty11; 06-10-2013 at 06:02 PM.

Yes, life does change once you start on TRT, you do feel younger, more energetic and the saying'i do that tomorrow/later' has gone, you do it today. Me I am 56 and was doing flips in the wake park today, mental I know , especially when you look around and everyone is under 25...lol. RAP thats mid life crisis dude

My bench went from 160 (12 reps, 3 set) to 220 (same reps and sets) been on TRT 4 months now. Definitely a huge change in sex drive, I'm a walking hard on 24-7. The wife is taking a beating lol. (Not abusive though) I'm 30 years old and getting back into my college t shirts. Still need to focus more on my diet though I still eat way too much fast food garbage. I'm on 200mg/ml a week split every 3.5 days, hcg 300iu mwf, anastrozole .5 24 hours after cyp injection and doc put me on clomid 25mg daily to hopefully keep fertility in check. Taking clomid on TRT is highly debatable but my recent sperm analysis shows I'm still producing little soldiers. So either hcg or clomid is def. doing its job. After my 6 month BW I plan on lowering my test dosage to 150 a week and see if I still experience the same results. Life is grand if only I could put my BS Rec Administration degree to use then I would be unstoppable!!!

After 3+ years into TRT I'd say the following are positive "changes" that still apply (for me anyways):
-Better Wood
-Better Sex Life
-Better Attitude
-Better Outlook
-Better Quality of Life
-Better Body Composition (with proper training)
-Better Overall Health
-Better Relationships
-Increased Strength
-Increased Confidence
-Increased Drive
-Increased Earning Potential
Nothing negative to report really & I've probably left some 'good' things out. This is non-scientific of course

Mid life crises I'm leaning towards...although some of the attributes are from TRT as I have noticed some positive effects from it, I have been on it for over 5 years now so don't really notice "drastic" change...I do still have down days, could be other outside sources causing it, stress, aches n pains etc.... Now the Milfs and the youngins....I like em all, if they have a pulse, LMAO.
I think too much to attribute to TRT, specially the clothing and the music and non essential stuff....as Java Man stated, it's just a state of mind contributing to the totality of the circumstances and your "changes" ....Male "Men"apause maybe? ROFL

The whole not being afraid of anything happened for me before trt when I gained weight and got much stronger, although I was fatter then, I still was strong enough to have decent confidence.
Sex life is far better after trt.
Rarely have down days where I just feel awful and depressed like before.
Better relationship with my wife because of it, before I was always feeling like I wasn't enjoying life.
I used to listen to metal in high school, and I like it again now, although I never not liked it, I just didn't listen to it as much.
As far as attraction to women, well where I live there just isn't attractive women, so I couldn't answer that one at all. My wife is by far the best looking one here in almost all aspects. But maybe I could understand the attraction to very young women.
But I think people pretty much attributed these changes to where they go and gave good reasons for what could be going on. You still control who you want to be and how you act.
I kind of wish being more affectionate was a side effect for me, women like that stuff to a point.

I have been on TRT about 6 months now and have noticed the following:
- increased labidio
- harder erections
- never tired/fatigued
- more hair growth on chest and face
- increased strength (drastic)
- recover faster from workouts
- more bloat (still dialing in estrogen)
- less anxiety
- less irritability
That is about all I could think of off the top of my head but assume I will feel even better once estrogen is dialed in. At that point I will introduce daily cialis :-)

like the op I also experienced many of the same effects, 57 and on TRT for about 3 years, including the attraction to younger women, cant get enough metal, was a classic rock guy..mid life issues? maybe but who cares! hard to imagine that TRT is not to some degree responsible for my shall we say more aggresive outlook on life? have not as yet got the big gold chain and sports car..

Pre-Black album is great stuff and old people's metal... since the Black album Metallica sucks IMO. Master of Puppets and Kill 'Em All are top notch old school Metallica.
