What is your method for minimizing bubbles while drawing and then getting all the bubbles out before injection?

A few air bubbles won't kill you. It takes between 100-300ml of air to cause an air embolism. I always leave a small bubble so there's no waste in the needle.Originally Posted by Lockout888
Agree. Don't worry about bubbles.

OP go over to the newest thread about "Testosterone Shot" I think you might get a better picture about all this, air and needles and other thing relating to drawing and pinning yourself. ...crazy mike
I just finished with multiple posts. ...cm
the post Crazy is talking about is over in the Q&A section in case you're looking for it ... I had to search![]()
FWIW my doc taught me to draw to the next line on the needle so that you can push the air out. So, for example, if you are looking for 100 mg, draw to 120 mg and push back up to 100 mg. This will force a bead of test out the syringe and give you the dose you are looking for (at least according to my doc).
oh I don't know, I think bubbles can make you crazy,

Please it is not even that complicated. So lets not get into doc say to do this and he says I do this ad that guy says this. Common sense. A small air bubble will NOT HURT YOU. One tenth .10 cc and more even will NOT hurt you. You are not mainlining this stuff straight in your blood stream. It is going into muscle and then being absorbed. Some tiny air is nothing.
Now no matter how and what needle you draw with you may get the oil stirred up with air. NFP, please !! just let it set in your hand and it WILL CLEAR. Measure the oil, liguid in the syringe, Forget the needle pull it down and measure. Then just slowly push the air out. Push air out of the needle and see a DROP of oil on the top of the needle. Or just see the air leaving no void in the syringe and stab your a$$. NO need to measure what , anything 100 vs 120 to what ever. Draw, just draw in till you can measure in the cylinder. Where is all this rocket science. ...crazy mike
There sure are a lot neurotic people here with anxiety over a few bubbles.
It takes between 100-300ml of air in a blood vessel to cause an air embolism and result in a potentially fatal event. If you're injecting THAT much air, you shouldn't be touching needles to begin with!!!!!
Inexperience I guess. Many people have trypanophobia (fear of needles) to begin with and many more wrongly believe a small air bubble would cause a pulmonary embolism or stroke.Originally Posted by crazy mike
as far as a real tip...
when drawing the oil out of the vial, tilt the vial/syringe at an angle and draw that way.
then if you still have bubbles in the syringe just tap it with your finger tip to move the bubbles towards the top to push them out.
