Recently Diagnosed with Low T

I was recently diagnosed with low T.

I have in the past have had some experience AAS.

I am 42.

I have and do still physical activity. I have been lifting consistently for years - naturally.

Now with my disadvantage, I thought that, perhaps, my new script would be beneficial.

I have had to deal with all the high-priced topicals and have concluded that test cyp will be most cost effective.

Question - will a doctor be on-board with self injecting?

Also - what would be my best strategy for cheating my levels to performance ranges?

Any help would be great.

many doctors are perfectly fine with self-injecting. diabetics do it all the time.

I would not recommend you try to cheat anything. is living well with a high quality of life your main goal? or is it to take more drugs than you need to?

Exactly what HRT said. Choose to get stable on a good TRT protocol before you decide to play around. Take some time and read the sticky threads at the top of this forum. A wealth of info there for self-education purposes. It's a great way to start!

This being a steroid forum and my looking forward to gains would be my motive.
If I am deficient and thought a slight increase north of the normal range sounds performance intended.

Also, the script nurse said today that she did think that self injecting was a good idea. I did mention that many people do perform this treatment. She replied with the needle size argument.

She is fighting to get a topical to be more affordable.

Again though . . . I know that this is a TRT section on a steroid web site but aren't most here for TRT and performance enhancement?

Docs will prescribe TRT to bring your levels to normal physiological levels, NOT supraphysiological levels. What exactly are you asking?

I would like normal levels like most men.

For my physique I would like to supplement normal levels with a performance level.

Also - could I dose with a lower level - retest levels - and if still low be prescribed a higher dosage and then dose even higher than prescribed?

Your doc will prescribe a dose and run labs to check levels and risk factors (RBC, hemoglobin, PSA, lipids, testosterone, estrogen, etc). Adjustments will be made to bring you within normal levels. If you are self medicating with the script he/she provides and you increase doses without his/her recommendations, the doc will know based on how quickly you use the meds and changes in blood work. If this happens, the doc would quite possibly discontinue the self medication and require in clinic visits for treatment.

TRT is meant to establish normal levels adjusted for age. Use of TRT beyond that would be deemed abuse and would be a liability many doctors would not accept.

Don't try and "work" your doc. It'll bite you in the end. Get settled on a TRT protocol and find stability with it. Then if you want to add to it so be it. You just need to find what keeps you normal and healthy first before you go above and beyond.

Yes, this was basically what I was leading up to. We've had other gentlemen here trying to use TRT meds as an anabolic cycle. As Kel stated, don't abuse TRT because when you really do need it, you may not have access if your MD has cut you off for abuse.

Use TRT for its intended purpose. If you want to cycle anabolics (your reference to a "performance level"), look for other sources. TRT serves its purpose and if you were cut off for abusing it, when you needed it most you may not get the access you legitimately have a need for.

Okay - cool.

It's just funny that here we have a website and forum that has a specific focus with a sub-focus on TRT.

If it wasn't for my commitment to physical exercise I do not think that the TRT would have most readily piqued my interest.

However, I do understand and will play by the rules of the TRT.

At some point down the road I do want to get to where I was physically.

At 42 with low T has mad it harder to keep/add gains. It's been many years since I have cycled and would not mind, perhaps, doing a couple more.
