Been 2 weeks off HRT and feel like crap.1

I had an issue with refilling my prescription because my physical was out of date so I ran out of my Test C just over 2 weeks ago. I already feel like crap and at first I thought it was just in my head as I've been tired for the past 2 days and just lacked energy. I ended up working out tonight and it was almost impossible. Thank god I got it refilled and will have it on Friday so I can start feeling human again. This is a great reminder of how important it is to be on forever. Needless to say I will never slack again with regards to staying on top of things.

I keep a 10ml vial of cyp on hold as well. It's custom compound and the expiration date reads October 2013, if the top hasn't been taken off will it last longer?? I got the vial 2 months ago, surely it can't go bad in such a short amount of time??? I'm assuming that's if the vial has been opened that it expires by oct '13.

Why not just use that instead of your prescription and then when you renew your script just have one of those on hand? I think I'm going to do the same just for reasons like this. In some ways I'm glad this happened because it makes me realize I never want to go back to feeling like this again.

Funny how diabetics are told by .gov to keep an extra supply on hand in case of emergencies, but those on TRT are SOL. I want to get an extra vial, but there is no way unless my doc writes another script and I can hoard what was on the old one. I have a few bottles of Axiron "just in case".

Did you try calling your dr and telling them you were out? Usually they will at least give you a shot in the office if you are completely out.

If you have a good, trusting relationship with your doc ask him to write you slightly more than you actually take for reason's such as this. No one wants to be micromanaged by pharmacies, etc. Just remember to fill your scripts at the normal time so you then can build up some stock. My doc writes me for 200mg per week but I only do 120mg. I simply asked him to and explained why. It made sense to him as well.

Great point about getting a little extra for sure. I NEVER want to feel this way again. That said, my prescription showed up a day early so I was able to finally get it back into my system. I've never been so happy to pin before in my life. Can't wait to start feeling human again. The good news is that I'm 1 day closer now.

the games the pharmacy played when I started out were nuts. what a rude introduction into the world of having to take Rx meds for me (backorders, not enough on hand, need to call doc, need a new rx, fill half now then half tomorrow etc etc)... I recommend you set a reminder on your phone.

also, if you use a major pharmacy like walgreens they have some apps. I haven't used them but the commercials look interesting. mail order is also an option, but express scripts mail order seems to do a great job at messing things up and over-charging. it's crazy...
