TRT effect on Kidneys
I am 55 years old and only have one kidney--other was removed due to malignant tumor.
Recent labs indicate low Testosterone level (35.6 pg/ml) but other factors (Hemocrit, Hemoglobin, Platelet count, Creatinine, BUN, GFR, etc.) are normal.
I'm interested in the opinions of experienced board members. Do you think TRT (250 mg of Test E per week) would be well tolerated and beneficial? I have low T symptoms (low libido, slugish feeling, sense of weakness). If you were me, would you go on Test supplementation?
I have access to Test E in vials (250 mg/ml). Any thoughts appreciated.

TRT in proper doses should be just fine done under a doctors care, not self-initiated. 250mg is way to high and will more than likely put you at a supraphysiologic level. An average starting dose of test is around 100mg per week. Some top docs will actually start at 60-80mg and titrate up based on BW. More is not better here. There's a lot to managing an effective, healthy TRT protocol that needs to be done with a competent doctor.

^^^^ this and,
I have reduced kidney function due to kidney stones, my levels were worse prior to TRT and always out of range, now been on TRT for about 2 years and my levels are in normal range. so TRT seems to have no negative effect on kidneys, for me at least, however if one already have an detected cancer and goes on TRT it may speed up the cancer. this is why Kelkel noted "under doc care" so they can run appropriate tests before putting you on TRT. 250 more than the double average dose.
