Thoughts on a Cypionate/Propionate Blend in HRT?

Thru my Doctor I have the option of doing a Cypionate /Propionate Blend instead of just Test C. I'm thinking of trying it out. It's a fairly mild dosage of Propionate from what he told me but I didn't get how many cc's. I won't have it available for another 8 weeks but I'm really thinking about it as it would help with leaning out a bit.

What are your thoughts on this? I'm also not sure if this is a protocol I could just continue on or if it's only avail. sometimes.

I'm curious about this as well.. I've heard of C and P blends, usually 200mg c and 50mg p...is it more effective, less effective? more difficult to maintain blood levels? or easier?

Keep in mind you will be dealing with 2 half lifes and two peaks of different esters. Some guys do it by injecting one dose the test C on Monday. Then prop on Friday aka WEEKEND BLASTER.

I wouldn't bother. You'd have to inject more frequently to justify the prop ester.

So you couldn't just inject every 3.5 days with the blend? You'd have to inject more frequently regardless of the half life of the cyponite?

This is what I was thinking. I'm already injecting every 3.5 days and was thinking just keeping it the same?

What would be the benefits of this? Without knowing more, it seems like this is a solution(with it's own set of problems) for a problem that doesn't exist.

Once you get your serum level stable, injecting cyp or enath every 3.5 days will provide a steady, continuos balance, without any noticeable change. I'd personally just keep it simple.

it's silly really. I don't know why he would recommend this. For one, you'll never have control over the ratios with a blend. And your levels will be playing yoyo. But yes, you would just inject less, but more frequently.

I wouldn't even consider this option.

One possible benefit that some may see in it is that it does provide a little bit of fluctuation in T levels, while always having the cyp base there. Natural levels fluctuate and a lot has been written about dopamine insensitivity caused by either too high of a test dose or possibly to flat of a test dose. Hence why T gels and shooting prop everyday will always probably feel the most natural, because they provide that fluctuation.

interesting, does this mean that the dopamine receptor become flat or burnt out over a period of time when using trt?

Well as far as I understand a receptor cannot become 'flat' or burned down, just down regulated. I don't even think it is that though... I think it is as simple as dopamine being stimulated by a certain level of T. Thus when T spikes dopamine reacts, when T is low dopamine reacts, when T move around, dopamine reacts. With a completely flat steady T level in the blood, as is provided by a long estered, frequently administered T dose, there is not as much fluctuation to provoke a dopmaine reaction... so you 'get used' to the fairly consistent dopamine release.

Many HRT specialists recommend, especially that younger men try to choose a route of administration that mimics the circadian daily rise and fall of testosterone as closely as possible. Gels achieve this I believe. Daily shots of propionate would achieve this, I think pellets would achieve something similar too..

This sums it up quite nicely! ^^^

My god, if you want to add more test then just do a mild cycle with prop and inject eod. If not, add a small amount of deca once or twice weekly. Mixing blends for TRT is useless. If your worried about the daily rise and fall to mimic the body then use gel. If not, test C or E. If you want to take a 3 month extended vacation and not worry about any of it, but have little control, go with pellets.
