    Cialis and Sinuses

    Good Evening,

Does anyone here have really bad sinuses who tried low dose cialis?
How did it effect your sinuses?

I've been on 5mg/day for almost a year and I occasionally get it. Was worse when I first started but not too bad. The sinus side does increase with dosage, but the sinus effect doesn't last long when it happens (at least not to me).

It was bad for the first week on 5mg before bed. Now I take 5mg 2x a day with little issue. I had sinus surgery 6 months ago and use saline rinse every day.

I got that at first but it went away after a few weeks. Also had bloodshot eyes and headaches. 5mg morn/eve. I don't have any sides at all anymore.

if you have cryptic tonsils you're stuffyness could be helped by using a waterpik (lowest setting) with salt water. squirt the pik into your deepest crypts to get the stones out.

also, there are these things called netty pots. they're awesome! i just squirt salt water up my nose using the waterpik. and when i'm in the shower i allow the water to fill up my sinuses and then i bend over so my head is pointed towards the ground. the sensation of having water in your sinuses is uncomfortable, but when is the last time you washed out your sinuses?

NOTE!: some people can get really sick from messing around in their sinuses. I contracted some kind of viral infection when i tried using a nasal spray once. it was brutal!

    being hydrated also helps

L-Cysteine will clear that right up.

Not to go off-topic, but I heard on TV once that some people who used regular tap water in their netty pots were contracting some type of illness and actually died from it. Following that logic, I'd think that allowing regular tap/shower water to enter your sinuses might not be a good idea?

I tried the netty pot a.k.a. booger bong once. Too much like drowning for me.

I get a little stuffy, but my problem is eye goop. If I take more than 5mg a day my tears get thick and sticky. When I wake up in the morning my eye lids are stuck together.

lol, he heard on TV once.. so it has to be true :P

If it works for you, I don't think theres any harm in trying it.. I had nasal surgery about 6 months ago and I had one of those given to me by my Doctor, it comes with packets that you can mix in the water -- perhaps that's what made it sterile? or maybe it just contained saline to get the gunk out but they did work.

I did the low dose ARR/CIA and the first week I had the same stuff happened and im real prone to getting headaches so I have to be real careful on this stuff that is offered.
So with all that said it went away after a week .I liked it and If I took Viagra it was real bad so I was very happy with the ARR/cia .So give it some time and again this is what works 4 me.

I work in the public utility sector and APIs is correct. Your public, potable water supply can possibly still have microbes in it even when correctly treated with chlorine and people have contracted fatal microbes using potable water in netty pots. Use distilled water only in netty pots or any other device used to deliver an aqueous solution into the sinus cavities. Deliberately allowing copious amounts of water from your shower head to enter your sinus cavities is a very bad idea.

Interesting. I don't use a netty pot, but the sinus rinse. Been doing so for 5+ years. It's been a headache-reliever lifesaver. Instead of warm tap water, maybe I should microwave my filtered water 'til it's warm. Good idea. Glad I thought of iit.

Even if the water supply is perfectly clean, what do think happens to that moistened shower head after you turn it off in the morning/evening and it sets for 8-12 hours? Stuff grows on it, that's what!!

My doc thought it was an infection and gave me drops the first time. Later I found it was directly related to my Cialis dose. I start to get goopy, lower my dose or lay off for a couple of days and it clears right up.

No doubt. I never used water from the shower; just warm tap water from the sink. I'm sure there's plenty of bacteria growing in there, too. I warmed up bottled water today. Just need to make sure it's not too hot. Ever snorted up hot water? Hurts like hell.

It does hurt indeed! Yeah, the sink faucet would be the same as a shower head, possible even worse as most sink faucets have a wire mesh aerator which dramatically increase the surface area for bacteria/mold/fungus growth. Its really a good idea to clean faucet and shower heads once a month with bleach.
