    EstroDIM

    Hi all,

My doctor today recommended a product called EstroDIM since I have rolled off taking adex. She said her patients have reported success with it in lieu of adex. The dosage would be 300 mgs/day. They actually sell a very high quality version of it and recommended that I be careful about buying a quality version if I look elsewhere (sounds like a sales pitch, yes I know).

Has anyone used this product, and can they comment on it?

    Thanks!

It's a combo of DIM and some other compound. I have taken DIM before, and I did not like how I felt, similar to when I take too much anastrozole. DIM is what my doctor first recommended but I am on a low dose ai instead and prefer that. You might have different results, can give it a try and see how you feel, and if it's ok then continue until you get some blood work. Supposedly it can work, basically doesn't stop conversion but metabolizes estrogen, makes you use it up somehow, i dunno I don't completely get it, but it can work in individuals where e2 isn't excessively high.

Thanks SEOINAGE. My E2 was at 15 (sensitive) on my last test, up from less than 3, so I am going to hold for now but keep it on my radar if my E2 gets up too high in the future. Adex tends to cause my E2 to plummet. I already take 50 mg zinc daily, so I'm not sure I need E2 treatment yet.

I have no doubt that "EstroDim" is expensive, but it probably works to a smaller degree than arimidex . Of course, the main ingredient appears to be DIM. But this product probably throws in some proprietary stuff so they can mark it up a lot. If money is a concern, just buy regular DIM.

Personally, DIM is the best otc drug that I know of to help manage high E2 levels.

Thanks HRTStudent. My doc said one of the ingredients is the stuff in broccoli (albeit in concentrated form) that is good for metabolizing estrogen.

At what dosage? 100mg or the 300mg that LEF suggests? Thanks

A lot of doctors, especially longevity clinics are trying to peddle their own brand or in most cases, re branded vitamins. You have to wonder where they got all the extra time to come up with a line of vitamins that is superior to any others out there you can find.

Look at the labels, they are typically cheap or even obvious printed from their own printer and just stuck on. I have no doubt they just buy some generic brand and put their own label in them to supplement their income.

I stopped going to one clinic because the doctor was trying to peddle his vitamins more than helping me with RX and he obviously was annoyed I was not buying his sh*t.

I did not get that impression from my doc. She encouraged me to price shop to find that their prices are competitive - her claim is that they have done the legwork to find higher quality products. The do not try to sell their own brand.

DIM is found in broccoli... thats the main ingredient I imagine. broccoli is a super food and I recommend it, but you'd probably have to eat a ton to get a e2 effect.

to be sure, I use anastrozole to manage my e2. but when I was trying to find the right dose, I would sometimes get E2 that was too high and it would cause my nipples to blow up. I would take 225mg of straight DIM. but I would only do this for days at a time.

I aromatize more than most, but if I could use just DIM I would.

also realize that DIM is not an AI as far as I know. rather, it speeds up estrogen metabolism. this doesn't mean its worse, its just a different form of E2 control.

If you're at 15 on a sensitive assay you probably won't need any AI at all. Consider yourself lucky.

Absolutely, and that is ideal. No AI is good.

HRT, I stopped taking DIM a while ago and for the first time, I'm noticing a bit of puffiness. While I do carry bf in that area, this is something new.
I know we're all different, but do you take 200mg for 5 days, a week, or 'til you notice it going down? Yes, I'll get e2 bw done(on my own). Just thought I would try this. Thanks.
