    Damn low T!

    Hey guys,

Just got diagnosed, love the good things I'm hearing scared of the negative. My insurance covers the depo, but nothing else. I would like to start with 100mg a week injected. I will be doing self injections if I decide to do this. I have never had a problem with sexual function in fact I can go 2 to 3 times a day every day when I'm in a relationship. I do have fat on my stomach that I can't get rid of and my attitude has sucked for a long time. I don't have an issue pushing myself to get things done I just don't enjoy life like I did when I was younger this has gone on a long time. I would have never guessed my T was as low as it is, but it does correlate with a lot of feelings that I have. I'm 42 and have been unhappy for at least 12 years. I have trouble staying focused and was on adderall for 4 years but had to quit it because I was starting to rage as the doses kept climbing to help me stay focused. My question I guess is there anything that I can take naturally to get my T back in the 6-700 range. Once starting this can I ever stop? I have an appointment at a TRT clinic Thursday and want to get this steered in the right direction. Should I start and estrogen blocker immediately? without wanting children and not concerned with my nuts shrinking is HCG necessary. With the 4 vials of 100mg depo covered at $30 a month what are my out of pocket HCG and estrogen blocker going to run me a month? My numbers are below. I'm glad there are sites like this to try and gain information. I have never been a fan of the doctors office as they always find something wrong....

SHBG is mid-range and could be lower--this eats free Test (binds Free and renders it substantially of no value). Maybe I missed estrogen and estradiol number above?

100 Mg a week is a typical dosing from TRT clinics. I am at 190 MG a week with excellent success. I do use HCG (500IUs X 2 per week) as I want my scrotum full and hanging--cost is very manageable per month, less than sixty...PSA is great BTW.

You need to be prepared to use an AI. If you are having high E2 issues now, you will also have the same, if not greater issues, on TRT. Your insurance should cover an AI like Arimidex (anastrozole).

Thanks Pappybay do you think it is possible that I only need to take an estrogen blocker and zinc?

    Again thanks for the response!

    Welcome!

Good job on getting those lab reference ranges listed too!

It's possible clomid and/or HCG could get you to that 600-700 total test range.

We need to see more blood work, before deciding to do anything get your LH, FSH and prolactin checked, this can determine what route of therapy you need to take.

Also a sensitive estradiol test would help and another morning testosterone panel.

I would get a script for anastrozole, but not take it at first. Wait about 4-5 weeks and then run labs, check your E and E2. If things look good (say mid-range) and no signs of gyno, you are good to go. If you get signs of gyno, start at .25 mg E3D and adjust based on results.

Zinc is good. Add D-3, magnesium and Fish Oil. All three are important for you overall health and proven to be effective.
