NEW labs done MD wants me on Anastrazole..can you check his work for me??

3 weeks ago I started 150mg once a week of Cyp.
Original labs looked like this:
Testosterone, Serum---264 ng/dl
Estradoil---21.0 pg/ml
Prostate -Specific Ag--0.5
Hemoglobin---14.6 g/dl

New labs say this;
Estradoil--52.7
Test--682


With my last injection they began me on HCG.

The doctor now wants me on Anastrazole 1 half pill, 3 times a week.
With the first dosage to be 1 full tablet.
Also raised my Cyp injection to 160 once a week. { only a 10mg increase???}

So far I'm feeling nothing other than maybe one occasion of increased libido...maybe.

Does this new protocol sound right to you guys?
Again--I havent gotten any real rewards yet.
I'm getting nervous that this whole thing might not work for me AT ALL!
i'M 42...decent shape 250 lbs ..gym 4-5 times weekly.

were you supposed to post your new labs? that A! is way too much, what was that based on?!

I didn't get the physical paper that has the new labs yet. This info was given to me over the phone. I will however get them the day after tomorrow.
The Anastrazole is too much?
What dosage should it be at?

ahh I didn't see the new labs, I thought it was part of the first list. what are the ranges? at 52 you can crash your e2 with 2 mgs in one week. this is based on my experience (everyone is different) i'd say take 0.5 mg once the first week then 0.25 mg once a week. you need to taper it down not kill it.

I posted this question here and 'elsewhere' and got the same responses.
What I DON'T like is that the doctor at the clinic that TREATS NOTHING BUT LOW TESTOSTERONE isn't on the same page with this medicine.
WTF?

It's a TRT clinic...and they aren't getting it right?????

When was blood taken relative to last shot?
How long have you been on trt?
Spliting dose = higher test with less conversion to E

Last test was 3 weeks after the first initial test.
So far I've been on TRT for only 3 weeks. 4 injections so far.
Was 150 mg/week...now it will be 160 mg.week.

At 52.7 I agree that you need to lower your E2. The question is just how much anastrozole to take. The wisdom on this forum seems to be to take it slow and keep retesting and upping the dosage until you find the right amount for you. Of course, if you change the amount of T you're taking, you will have to start the process again.

OK...so instead of one half pill 3 times a week maybe 0.25 twice a week?
Which would mean I would have to cut the tablet in quarters and take one quarter twice a week. Lets say on Monday and Thursday?
Or is that too little? Maybe 3 times a week?

So now my regular doctor writes me a script for Test//anastrazole//HCG.
My Test is at 200mg/week divided into twice weekly doses.

I just got labs back and the whole paper looks different because it's from a different lab.

It says:
TOTAL ESTROGENS: 87

TESTOSTERONE FREE TOTAL WITH SHBG :700

CALC FREE TESTOSTERONE: 15.6

He says everything looks perfect. Isn't 87 high?

I take the HCG twice weekly--and Anastrazole is one half tab every other day.

It's impossible to say unless you have the "normal" ranges.

Where do I find them on this paper?

Hey rem, that estrogen isn't the same as the sensitive estrogen. Some say total estrogen is worthless to know compared tosensitive estrogen. On a side note why is it always aanastrolze? Why not use aromasin or exestamane.

Probably because adex is extremely cheap for most of us. Generic aromasin is still considered tier 2 on many insurance plans. I am sure if we asked the doc hey can we use aromasin instead most would be ok with it.

I think you were quick to jump the gun on thinking your trt doc didn't know what he was doing. He was on the right track. surprised he raised your test at all. My first doc only raised me 20 mg when my results came back at 200 total t, and I felt absolutely awful. Most docs would have added the ai, but I think him raising it a little was wise on his part. Anyways, we sometimes are quick to judge, but sometimes we need a little patience. Now what you need to do is figure out what your e2 is really at. It also makes me wonder what is going on considering you are now on 50mg more a week and didn't gain much on blood work as far as total and free t, not to mention you are taking an ai now. What day in relation to injections were these labs drawn? both the old ones and the new ones, that could be a big part of it. I'm guessing the once a week inject your labs were drawn somewhere around your peak, hence the high e2 and you still feeling like crap, guessing other times it was lower.
