How do I convince my Doc to increase my dose? Even though I feel really good.

I'm currently on 100mg/week test-c and I'm feeling pretty good. I have a follow up appointment in three weeks (10 weeks since first shot) with my doc. He does not want me to get any blood tests. The follow up appointment is for him to see "how I feel" on the current dose of testosterone. Id like to have him increase my dose from 100 to 125mg/week. So I can see if I feel even better (if possible). I also want him to increase the dose so I can build up a reserve amount of the drug "just in case".

The vials of test-c I get from my pharmacist are 1mL of 200mg so there is only two doses in each vial. I really would like to get the 10mL 200mg vials.

BTW I am getting my blood tested next week. I am going through another doctor (a HRT doctor) and paying for the blood test out of my pocket. I want to know what my testosterone levels are prior to seeing my PCP. I just had my 6th shot this morning.

What do you guys think?

next time save money and run your own test by simply purchasing it from private md labs . com. its a good idea to build reserve, I have enough to last me two years! just simply say you still have some aches, low libido, feel tired and you know the rest.

While I agree with everything bass said, we as patients need to be responsible, and live by the more is not always better motto. OP you feel good be happy for that wait for your bw and see where your at. Sounds like your just getting started be patient.

10 Weeks since your first shot? You're still a baby :) Give your protocol time. TRT is a journey, no need to change protocol. It's best to follow your current protocol if you're feeling good. No need to change it. I would not misinform my doctor for the purpose of stockpiling either.

nothing wrong with building up a reserve especially when today's doctor can pull the rug right from under you without warning. many of us here do it, but we don't take more than its needed. yes in the past I've tried blasts and such but quickly learned that was a waist of money and health. many here suffered because their doc discontinued their prescription or move else where leaving their patients hanging. it takes allot of effort to find a new doc so a little reserve won't hurt.

I would ask for more test then gets full labs done on own. But without labs how do you know what is working or not working.

Patience young grasshopper. I'm finally dialed in after 8 months. If I could do it over again, I would have started off a little slower. It is a journey and includes education and understanding of your own body.

Sure. But that's a problem with the doc, and that certainly needs to be addressed.

I primarily want to build up a reserve of about a 6 month supply. I have not ruled out "blasting" though.

Some docs ( like mine ) just shoot for the "middle of the road" t levels on the range. Have an appt with new Doc on Monday who I've heard is much more knowledgeable than mine. He has me on 1cc 200 mgs EOW but I'm going to go to 1/2 cc 100 mgs EW. We'll see what happens on Monday. Wish me luck folks!

My pcp wanted me to come in every 3 weeks for a 300mg shot. I told him no way!
