Insulin syringes for Testosterone - What size is best?

Will be injecting Test C, sub Q, with insulin syringes. I've got plenty of 29 gauge, 1/2, 1cc that I use for my hCG . Crisler recommends a slightly larger gauge - 25 gauge. He explains on his You Tube that injecting with too thin a needle - too small a gauge - can damage tissue. What do you use? What has been your experience?

over a year of pinning SQ with that needle, gotta catch that vid, am not aware of any tissue destruction, quite the opposite actually. I use the the 31 gauge 5/16 for HCG , hope I'm not destroying even more tissue!

I use 31g for test. IM. Inject it slow, don't slam the plunger down. Unless I hit a nerve I don't feel much.

Either will work, I use 28x5/8, but like to find 25x1/2 to load and inject faster.

I want to clarify: I'm asking what gauge is best for SUB Q injection of testosterone .

I just injected test cyp sub Q for the first time this morning. I used a 29ga, 1/2inch slin pin.

I drew out very slowly and injected verrrrry slowly - took me about 2 minutes. Worked out find. No oil leakage. But strange thing happened - my chest fight tight and I coughed a little bit, shortly after the shot. Nothing serious. Just like I had to clear my lungs a little.

    I think I use a 27g 1/2" and it works just fine. If I don't hit a nerve I literally feel nothing.

The cough and chest tightness was probaly just a nervous reaction to sticking yourself with a needle for the first time.

I've been pinning hCG for several months but this is the first time for Test. Might be nervousness - I don't know. I do have mild asthma. I did take test cyp shots IM for a month then went back to gel. But I remember I'd cough sometimes because some of the oil worked itself into my lungs somehow through the vascular system. I've read somewhere - I think in Vergel's book - that this is not uncommon.

True no need to aspirate , depending on where he pinned he could have nicked a vein (rare but possible) and go some in it directly.

bass, didn't you post a cautionary tale about a year ago about injecting into a vein and coughing up a lung?

Thank you all for your feedback. This could all have been coincidental but I felt better after I took a couple of puffs of my inhaler. Tightness in my lungs cleared up. I'm going to inject again later today and I'll see if the same thing happens.

Generally I think it depends on what type of T you are using. Commercially available T tends to be thicker. Great thing about compounding pharmacies is that they can make the T thinner or thicker by combining with different oil or playing around with the % of benzol alcohol. At any rate, 25G will work of course. In my opinion its a little large. Note the nice blood trail in chrislers video. 27g seems to be the gold standard. You can run your test vial under hot water for 1 minute then the oil gets thinner and you can draw back most T with ease. 29+g needle your gonna be sitting there for awhile waiting during draw. Again it also depends on the viscosity of your T and wheather its commerical or compounded.

yes but it was very mild, however there was a member who hit a vein good and according to him he was on the floor coughing his lungs out, twitching and drooling LOL!

I don't buy Crisler's comment about needle size. I mean soon as you start injecting you will have started your oil depot, and if you aren't ramming it it will be coming out slow enough the "jet stream" won't be blasting in causing damage.

I use a 30g needle, and yes it is pretty slow, so I don't know how you could make it shoot out hard. I just take my time with it and have no issues. I've tried bigger needles and didn't care for them.

I took my second shot today and everything went well, except I took a deep breath about half way in and the needle came out. I just injected back into a nearby site and finished up. I used a 29ga, 1/2" slin pin. I was a little saw for awhile because I must have nicked my ab muscle when I breathed in. I went slow. Very slow.

I could see Crisler's point of view with the pressure washer comparison. That's why I went slow. But I can't see how using a 26ga as opposed to a 29ga would make any difference if you went slowly. And if you went fast both would likely cause a little tissue irritation. I'm skeptical about tissue "damage", but I'm no medical person.

Pull skin and insert at a 45 degree angle. Then release the skin. I find glute fat perfect for the 1/2 in pin. I use the same size as you. I alternate left and right sides. I never have any lumps either like I used to do after injecting into my stomach fat. I just need to get my levels checks now.

You must be very flexible to be able to pull your glute fat and then inject slowly. I can't see twisting my body around and then pushing the T in slowly, and stay twisted that way for any length of time.

I inject in glutes and am very inflexible. I can't even touch my toes lol. I just use one hand to pinch fat as I stick needle with other hand, I then release fat, switch hands to hold syringe and inject using the one hand. Pretty easy once you do it a couple times. And I find it best to do it in a seated position on a hard surface.
