    Newbie Talking with the Doctor

Ok I've been reading all the various stuff which is very nice by the way. Here's my problem, I know like you know that most of the doctors hell even the specialists out there don't know what they are doing 50% of the time probably more. I know this because my doctor started me on TRT at 100mg Test Cypionate per 28 days.

That is horrible, and I have felt the ridiculous draw backs and consequences of this. I'm not sure why the doctor did that other than total lack of understanding, which does not bode well for me. I'm pretty much in a fight for my life. Right now the symptoms of Low T are unbearable. The complete and utter exhaustion 24/7 is hard to take, I would describe the exhausted as a form of pain extreme fatigue. The TRT does show me that there was hope, and that hope lasted two days. I started such a horrible crash, down right horrible, I felt moody, sad, depressed and all the symptoms that it was suppose to help with came smashing back after one week.

So I'm looking for tips on how to approach the doctor without sounding like I know everything about it (doctors have egos), anything that you can tell me. So far I've contacted her via email. Told her whats been going on, told her that I decided to find out why it was this bad. Did a lot of research and found out all this stuff about how wrong she is doing it. She hasn't done any Free T test, no PSA test. The worse part is I'm suppose to get a T test I think 10/8 or something like that, I started 7/8 I think. That seems extremely way out there, especially with what I know now.

I've been thinking about switching to a gel or something that is more dumb doctor proof. Thing is though I'm never 100% sure how long I'll have insurance if can afford it whatever, and I know that the Test Esters are cheaper.

Help me out here should I print out a load of research and just hand it to her. I just don't want to piss her off and have to searching for another doctor who's probably equally as dumb.

    Welcome Volomon,

I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with this right now. Low T symptoms can certainly take their toll on a man. Frankly, I'm not sure that printing research information would help you at this stage. 100mg of test cypionate every 28 days is indicative of a doctor lacking some basic knowledge. It's common to see many doctors that are "stuck in the past" so to speak. You know your doctor best, if you feel she might be offended, or even if you feel uncomfortable speaking to her about these issues, it may be time to move on.

Are you located in the US?

Ya and the real problem is where I am there is a major hospital buying up all the private practices, and almost every other practice is associate with this hospital. In other words I have difficulty hunting down a good GP, because of the interconnection. I think I'll try to convince her and if it doesn't work I guess I have to move on.

I understand and agree. Consider giving the folks at "Low Testosterone" a call. They provide care for men with Low T nationwide. Very quickly you'll find that you're dealing with some of the most elite group of certified physicians available.

Check their website that I linked above to see if there is a location near you, and give them a call at 800.569.8345 to discuss options.

If you'd like the folks here to help you analyze your blood work, feel free to post it here and include all ranges.

    Best of luck to you.
