Got labs and would appreciate advice

Thought it was time to create a new thread, as my original thread dealt more with the realization of my high HCT levels and my search to finally get a prescription for the T.

    I'm 56 years old, 5 11, 173 lbs
I want to be as prepared as possible for the next appointment. I've done what research I can on the results and am sort of relieved that the Estradilol was high..only because I am still not feeling 'right'.

Any insights into these levels and if there might be suggestions into looking into lowering the E2 levels or possibly they will also slowly reduce as things level out?

    ====
    Testosterone 1084.2 (170.00-780.00)
    Testosterone Free 30.0 (4.0-29.0)
    SHBG 35 (13-89)
    Testosterone Bioav 569 (77-357)
    FSH-Serum <.02 (1.4-18.1)
    LH-Serum <.2 no range given
    Estradiol 70 no range given
    Dihydrotestosterone 82 (16-79)

what lab was this from? Estradiol might be high, DHT is definitely high, need to bring it down. it looks like you're making good progress, and give your new protocol time to stabilize.

It was from the lab at the hospital where the doctor is..

The change of protocol was the switch from Sustaplex to Depo..

    I've also reduced down to 50mg 2x a week.

The Estradiol range that I found here(wasn't listed on my test) show the range to 50...Mine is at 70.

Thank you for reading Bass..I'm glad the T level came down from over 1500 to 1084..getting there..

in that case we won't know where you're at with E2, I suggest doing the test yourself from Private MD Labs, and make sure you get the sensitive assay.

I would not make any changes as you have since changed your protocol, making the above labs void. After a good 8 weeks, get new labs drawn and from there you can post and decide what changes need to be made if any.

Switching from sustaplex to Depo can make all the difference as it was a mixture of different compounds that are all metabolized differently by the body.

I agree it's def not the time to adjust the Testosterone or add anything at this point but I do think I should be pretty leveled off on the new protocol (50 2x a week) in a week or two.

I am wondering if the high E2 level might be something I do feel..Also the Hemoglobin is still a little out of range and the HCT is also higher than I would like, although it is under 50..Normal for me is 45. One more donation should get that part nailed finally..Might be coming up on 56 days since the first donation and I will go back as soon as it is. I don't want to find a 4th place! I bet that this doctor would order a phlebotomy if I asked.

Calling his office now to see when he wants me back there. I want to go in there asking for the right blood tests and to understand what might need to be done if the E2 levels stay high. Makes all the difference if I walk in there knowing what questions to ask and he seems like the kind of doctor who appreciates smart questions and will respond well.

    thanks for the replies!

Your E2 should drop, but after follow-up labs if still high, you can try an over the counter AI if only 10-15 points over. If higher than that, I would assume your Dr. will write script for Arimidex .

Just educate yourself and be nice, not demanding when you go in. I find most Dr. are not open and are insulted if you question them, so remember, you catch more flies with honey.

    Good luck.
