Cialis and blood pressure
Went to dr today because my toes have been hurting a little the last few weeks. Nothing bad just aching light pain, I thought it was uric acid(gout). She took blood, but she check my sugar and it was good. My blood pressure was high 150/90. I told her I had started trt, and that I was taking cialis 5mg twice Ed. She said that's to much that it can raise my bp and that it can cause pain in the toes.
I have been taking cialis for 6 months now and in the beginning it lowered my blood pressure and I wanted to keep taking it for that reason and my prostate health. What do you all think, I hope austinite and muscleink can respond?

Cialis and Viagra were initially blood pressure medications so it don't see how they'd raise BP. They're both vasodilators which means they dilate your blood vessels thus decreasing blood pressure. Even the warnings say this "don't mix with nitrates as it can cause an unsafe DROP in blood pressure".

I just research for hrs and the only thing I found was there have been cases where extremities had pain but in almost 75% of the cases it was the legs not toes. Cialis is used for blood pressure on the lung side. So I think my Dr needs to be educated.

My regular dr is out of town so she is a replacement, my other dr knows I self medicate the cialis. This one tried to find out where I get it and stuff, I told her not go worry about it and explained why I use it Ed which is for bp, my prostate health and the added bonus till I went on trt. I worked 15 hrs the day before and didn't have no sleep so I think that's why my bp was a little high because it's been good. Plus I need to give blood. Do I'm not gonna worry, she did take blood and gave me bp medication but I'm going to give blood and see what that does. I was monitoring my bp Ed but got away from it so I'll just start again. Thanks for all the input, she had me thinking I was crazy.

I have a little bit of hypertension, but Cia never seems to help lower my bp for some reason. No big. I don't take it for that.

Thanks Doc. I should stop CIA for a while and check my bp again after a week of not using to compare.
I respond to cia for the main reason its marketed, if you know what I mean. So if I respond there, it has to be dialiting my blood vessels and also lowering, I guess. I was never able to get my home bp monitor to show any results. I'll check again.
