Does having secondary hypogonadism effect how trt reacts?
Considering that secondary is caused by the brain and primary is caused by the testes, is there any difference in how trt should affect my body or blood levels? I have a prolactinoma which prevents my pituitary from secreting enough T, my testes are working fine apparently. Ive had it since the beginings of my puberty stages id say.
so, I guess specifically im curious about two things. Will my t and e2 levels be affected differently with trt than someone with primary? I know most people experience spikes in e2 after starting trt. Is it possible I wont experience that or is the cause of low t irrelevent here? My doc didnt want me on adex and was pretty adiment that my e2 wouldnt get out of control. Secondly, should I expect a more dramatic physical change, considering my pituitary hasnt functioned correctly since before puberty?
Thanks guys.
