Correct move by your doc in decreasing dosage.
When was the BW pulled relative to your last injection?
You need a sensitive estrogen assay, specific to males. If you use labcorp I can provide you the proper codes.
What is your full protocol?
Most importantly, how do you feel?

BW was done 3.5 days after my shot. I do 200mg Test once a week
500iu hcg every 3.5 days
6-8mg cialis daily
40mg Lisinopril daily
12.5mg koreg twice daily
.25 arimidex 24 hours after shot
I feel great but still having problems
maintaining erections and takes forever to finish which is what started me on this route.Last edited by mobowhntr; 10-12-2013 at 05:35 PM. Reason: forgot a med.

I sent the Doc an email today asking for the labs you recommended in your stickie thread.

Good to get better labs.
E2 and/or prolactin can cause your erections issues so get the proper tests here. Sensitive assay!
You're not far off of peak testing 3.5 days in.
Consider splitting whatever dose you settle on to twice a week injections. Less injected at one time = less spike in E2 = less ancillaries needed.
You do not need that much hcg . Drop it to 250iu's x 3 per week.

Is the prolactin test a stand alone test or included in the tests from your sticky?

Yes .25mg arimidex 24hours after shot.
Also first test was total Estrogen
second was Estradiol if that makes a difference.

Why a doctor would prescribe 200 mg weekly as a starting dose is beyond me...you should start at 60-80 mg per week and titrate up, so much easier to find the sweet spot and you will end up using less or no ancillaries

agreed. Unforunately most doctors aren't up to date on the best starting protocols. More then half the guys on this forum seem to need an ai on just 100mgs per week.
To op, you could even go down to 100mgs per week divided into two 50mg injections. You might be able to avoid an ai, that and dropping your hcg dose as Kel stated.
I had a similar test level around 1700 on 200mgs per week, but estrogen was too high. Dropped it to 100mgs(2x50mgs per week) and test levels are around 970 with free test at the top of the ranges and no arimidex needed with the lower dose.
Always better to start low and work your way up!
With a 40 on the standard test your estradiol sensitive is probably in the low 20's but it's all guesstimates until legit blood work.Last edited by jomamma007; 10-13-2013 at 06:44 PM.

Thanks for the info. I have bloodwork coming up in Nov. and will adjust from there.
What do you guys think of my low SHBG before starting trt? I think I have Insulin Resistance because of my fat gut, 350 triglyceride levels and low HDL

trt is supposed to reduce hdl....so hopefully yours doesnt go too low. 350 triglycerides is nuts though..i eat a lot of fatty foods to get extra cals in and mine are 89 i think? what do your other lipid numbers look like?

Do you guys think my problems
could be caused by my ex wife drugging my food and drinks
with high doses of hydrocodones
and who knows what else until i
realised what was going on and
left?

I have more if you guys need it.
But using a phone is hard to post.
What can I take to get prolactin down
to the bottom range? Everything else
was in range.

Other meds can have a wide ranging effect. BP meds can effect prolactin as well. If your meds are not causing this then it would have to be a pituitary issue, which I doubt at this time. Search up a thread I posted here recently regarding "Arginine for Blood Pressure" and watch the video. It may help you. Cabergoline (Dostinex) will also help control prolactin.

Saw Dr. yesterday and discussed all
my past and symptoms. Based on
that he ordered thyroid tests, kidney,
liver and is testing adrenals
because of the super high blood pressure and heartrate.
