New to TRT-Help?
I have read nearly everything that is a sticky thread and it's helped me a TON.
I'm 34.Had my test checked and was 175
Went to a doctor who put me on 100mg test cyp every week. A month later I had a little gyno flairing up that I had like 10 years ago. I told him and he said "lets wait 3 months and we'll do your bloodwork" and I really disliked that answer.
So I found a clinic that has been awesome. Ageless Men clinic. They did bloodwork and I was at 350ish test but almost 30 for estrogen. They put me on an AI and raised my dose to 140mg. A month later they did bloodwork and my e was 6 which is too low so they are going to back off on the AI. The kicker? My test was only at 450ish. They said that about 10mg increase per week normally gives about 100 more in your test levels.
MY MAIN QUESTION:
They raised me 40mg a week and my test levels only went up 100? They said it's very weird as I should have gone up more. Should I be worried? How abnormal is this or would cause this?
They just now cut my AI dose in half and now I'm going to be doing 180mg a week of test cyp.
BTW I'm 34 and 225 and in pretty good shape (if size even relates to hormones and how the body absorbs them).
Any suggestions would be helpful or comments. I'm staring to wonder if I'm a freak here? Why did my body barely react to going up 40mg a week which they said normally should have increased me 400? I only went up 100 though?
Thanks guys and BTW GREAT FORUM and it's been a huge help to me!

I doubt it matters, but I forgot to state. When I found this clinic and they bumped me to 140mg from 100mg they also put me on HCG twice a week at that time as well.

What is your injection protocol? Weekly, biweekly, every 10 days???? When they did the bloodwork how many days after your last injection was it? This can make all the difference in the world esp. if your injection protocol is spread out.

I get my shot once a week. They do bloodwork right before my next shot. So it's a week after my last shot. They are trying to get me to 700 which they say means i'll be more like 900 at peak and around 700 at my lowest point
BTW thanks for the fast reply. Just curious if it's that abnormal how little my T went up after 40mg more per week. I'm hoping I don't have another issue or something else going on that would be countering the T.

It's because they are testing it at your lowest point. Are you self injecting or do you have to go to their office to get your injections? I split my dosage from weekly to biweekly to keep levels stable. I cut the dose in half and inject every 3.5 days. You don't want to have such peaks and valleys. You should see if they will run bloodwork 2 days after your injection and compare.

So you don't think anything is off going from 100mg and a level of 350 to a 140 a week injection and only showing about 450 levels? If going to 180 a week only yields 550 I don't know what i'm going to do as from all my reading most who take 180-200 a week are around 1000 levels, not half of that?

How long have you been on this protocol? Don't go solely on what your numbers show on paper. It is a big part of things but your overall well being and how you feel etc. are more important than simply trying to hit a "target" number. Everyone aromotizes Test differently and testing when your numbers are at their lowest isn't ideal.

starting out test at 175
100mg 4 weeks then bloodwork before next shot, test 350ish E was upper 20's, started HCG and an AI
bumped to 140mg for 4 weeks bloodwork before next shot was 450ish and E was 6, lower the AI dosage and moving me to 180mg of test a week.
just had my first 180mg shot today.
The person at the clinic though said that going from 100 to 140 should have bumped me about 400 on my bloodwork, not 100. I am starting to feel better, but it's not like a night and day difference and i'm great or anything. I'm hoping that things continue to get better. I am surely better then I was before though.
