test results of different lab ranges

Hi I have a question. Do lab results vary depending on the lab doing it? For instance, for E2, quest diagnostics has a reference range of <29 being normal. But others have 20-30 being normal. So my e2 of 7 is normal for my test because it was quest, but abnormal for a different one. Does this mean the "7" would show up no matter who I used, or can it be different depending on the lab?

Always go with the references ranges of the lab. The numbers will change depending on the lab and the methods they use.

Moparman, Ive battling severe depression/emotional blunting for 6 months after using a product that had a "suicide inhibitor" and epistane for only 10 days. I dont know if my problems are more related to that e2 number or low free T number (despite decent total T (520)) . I read after suicide inhibitors your body produces the enzyme after a few weeks of discontinuation but its been 6 months and my e2 is still that low. But I the lab range is <29 being normal, so my doctor wasnt concerned.
