Why do libido booster don't work anymore on TRT?

First, just want to precise that Im stopping TRT cause no real signifant improvement after 8 months. (libido, energy, motivation wise)

Before TRT i had lowish test level (high 300, low 400). Thing like mucuna pruriens, ginseng and horny goat weed were making me horny as hell, strong boner, energic and everything, but acted like such strong diuretic I could barely support the side effect ( dry mouth, headache, flat and weak muscle from the lack of water, etc.)

Long story short, 8 month after TRT, no really improvement in any aspect of my life, despite being "dialed in". Beside fuller looking muscle, niet, maybe a little more self confidence.. but libido is actually lower. In fact, when e2 is in check(20-30), I feel like pure shyt, but when I let my estro creep back up, libido goes up.. But not in the same way libido were in the past, more like a need for emotional touch and shyt.. kinda of a femine sex drive ( which I had pre trt anyway). But no firm erection.. wathever..

so I tried to had mucuna, than ginseng on my trt protocol.. doesn't do nothing for my anymore AT ALL. not even the diuretic effect. I dont get it..

I want to get off TRT cause I saw no improvement and will try to restart... but why do libido booster don't work anymore? Do my balls just dont respond?

Sigh, I'll sacrifice some libido to not feel like shit everyday. If you didn't have any problems to begin with why even start? Numbers mean jack and shit. My libido was better prepared hrt but my unit works a lot better

When you say libido boosters are you speaking of trt/test or over the counters, horny goat weed etc?
I am no trt expert but there are several here. You will need to post your stats, how long on trt, i know you state 8 months, but has your protocol been changed such as test dosage, are you on an AI?
Any of the knowledgeable members that are TRT Experts will need to see you blood work to try to analyze what's up.
You are probably going to need updated bloodwork. Are you on any other medications? Certain medications such as pain killers will lower your test. Sorry i can't be of more help, but try to put that info together so someone can be of more help.
I am assuming you are using a Doc prescribing TRT.

That's what I realise.. my problem where dopamine related, not testosterone .

I've got tested at test level between 900-1400 and e2 a 20-30( had multiple blood test) with 200mg cup week divided e4d, aromasin 6.25mg e2d.. still no libido or energy. Let my e2 creep up to around 50-60, saw a little improvement( i could somehow get a 75% boner who could last 2-3 minutes) but still not a great, long lasting libido or energy like L-dopa gave me pre-TRT.

What sadden me right now is that no libido booster works anymore now that I'm on TRT.. pre TRT libido booster ALWAYS worked great for energy too and mood, just couldn't handle the diuretic effect.

I just don't get it.. I even tried wellbutrin, which worked slightly pre TRT, now not even this work.. I think I even feel worse than I was before..

I don't know what the fuk is wrong with me.. I taught high test would give me some kind of libido. I NEVER woke up with a boner for all the 8 months I've been on TRT, whether my e2 was at 20, at 50 and even at 100.

Just hope libido booster are gonna work like they were pre TRT after I'm off trt for a while.

that's funny, most of us on TRT complain about our wives not able to keep up with us. I wish I can find that post where a member mentioned a key word for making his TRT journey successful, that word was "patience"

A Doc would have your history of past meds etc. Ant-depressants can also cause your sex drive to go in the toilet. But you won't get any help here without that current blood work.

TRT upped my sex drive for the first few months, then went down a bit. Cialis is something for you to try. Btw, I'm 52, so my issue was age-related. Yours may be for completely other reasons, like e2. But, the site sponser makes an effective product-liquid cia. Might want to give it a shot. It's never let me down

Edit: Sorry. Just noticed you are talking about libido. Cialis won't really help in that area. That's a whole different ballgame.

Also, at his age cialis is just a bandaid for a real problem. I could not have even imagined a sex drive enhancer anywhere near his age. It is a problem that needs serious attention from a Doc like an Endocrinologist. I don't think a GP can help much in that area.

Heck, my libido without TRT practically doesn't exist. On TRT I'm horney just seeing a skirt swish.

Get your prolactin checked, also is estrogen sensitive being checked? If not the regular estrogen always comes in high. If your at 20 -30 estrogen then your sensitive could be really low.
