    Arimidex 2x or 3x week?

Do you guys on Adex take it 2 times a week or 3? I've seen both advocated on this forum and was curious if one was better than the other or if it was personal preference?

What is your E2 at? Most people don't need a AI on trt. I stay around 20-25 and never need a AI in the past few years.

Depends on BW. It's to be avoided if at all possible. Try alternatives such as DIM, Zinc and Copper first.

Dude he is not doing a cycle, he would more than likely tank his e2 if taken every other day. OP as the others told you blood work is the only way to tell. I would say maximum dose is .25 2x per week following injections, for me that is too much, .25 once per week keeps me in the 20's.

Estradiol Nonsensitive 50.1 (7.6-42.6). Going back to get the sensitive test in a week or two. I'll post them when I get them.

I'm currently taking Copper, Zinc, DIM and Adex .35 2x week. From what you guys are saying that dose may be too high. I'm still having erectile problems. When I started HRT I was getting massive strong erections which went away about 3 weeks into treatment. I assumed it was my estrogen. Any other Ideas?

I would cut out the AI until you know, me like you took a AI at the start and I could not have sex for shit, my E2 was 3 lol. I would cut the AI out until you know for sure if you need it or not, no reason to add in something extra in the mix if it's not needed.

There is no 1 size fits all. USE YOUR BLOOD WORK E2!!! There is no other way of knowing what your dose is. keep E2 between 20-30pg/ml. Dont waste your money on ultrasensitive E2 assy either. We are only going for a range here. Dont need exact numbers. Cheap E2 panel will give you within plus or minues 3% exact number. Just need to fall into the range of 20-30pg/ml E2.

Yes. I started about after labs about 3 weeks in to treatment. I was feeling anxious/more moody and my dick wasn't functioning. Since starting DIM, Copper, Zinc, Adex the psychological symptoms have stopped and my erections are about back to 70%.

if you are on twice a week protocol then usually its taken the day after each test shot. if once a week protocol you take your first AI one day after the test shot and the rest eod or spread the rest throughout the week. but like noted above its not one size fits all. find out what works for you and stick with it.

The reason I asked is you might only need the zinc, copper and dim "maybe". No telling how much that might drop it. How's your body fat%? I had my weight fluctuate since starting and when my fat went up, so did my E. If you do take the AI before your next bloods do like bass said "24 hours after T injections". I take a pill and cut it into four then cut those four in halves and take a 1/8 24 after injections and that enough with zinc, copper and dim to keep me perfect. Like the vets say " less is more most of the time".

The frequency of taking an ai has nothing to do with tanking estrogen. EOD is optimal just run a lower dose spread out it is no different then the difference of once a week vs twice a week test shots. The more stable the level the less sides.

What redz says is true. My doc told me if two 1/8 didn't get me to the sweet spot then spread out three 1/8 a week. As long as you take the right amount you can't tank your E.

Makes sense, but how do you cut those tiny tablets into eight equal pieces?

It's a pain in the ass. Funny you should ask. I was just daydreaming about finding a better way. I use a pill cutter now but it gets a little jacked up when the razor starts to dull.

Use razor blade to slice small amounts. If tiny little chunks break of just lift with finger-it will stick to finger, and lick off and swallow. Works for me.

I'm at about 21% bf. I'm currently trying dieting which has been much easer with trt.

So when should I get bloodwork done if I do test every 3.5 days and Adex 24 hours after test?

Not only have I seen the nonsensitive panel be twice as high as the sensitive, but I've also had over 20 point discrepancy between panels, thinking E was high when it was actually low.

I have found the same thing more than once, I think the important thing is to stay with one estradiol test, monitor symptoms and stay in the range you feel good at. I do think it has been much easier to dial in with the labcorp sensitive test.

Agree. If I was paying out of pocket I may go with the basic....

    Aux,

LowTMike answered your question best: There is no one size fits all. Everyone is different and anyone who gives you advice to the contrary or tells you how much to dose yourself or how often to dose is doing you a great disservice - no matter who they are. IMO, it's irresponsible.

And to the guys who are trying to cut those small pills into EIGHTHS with a razor blade and believe they are getting a correct dose: You ought to know better. You'll never know how much you are really dosing yourself, and as a result you'll never know how it affects your blood work and how to truly treat yourself. Extremely unscientific. I've been there, done that and found liquid anastrozole solved my problem. It's a simple chemical solution. Have you thought of pulverizing the tablets and making you own?

It actually works the same at the end of the week. My Anastrozole dose is 1/4 a week. Easy enough to cut. If I cut that into a eighth and one side is bigger I still get the same amount at the end of the week.
My E has been the only steady thing for me since starting. After six weeks it was at 17 taking 1/2. Then I switched to 1/4 and it rests at 30.

So is it extremely unscientific to cut 1/4 or only only to cut 1/8? Would it be more scientific to use liquidex instead of my script with my name on it? I guess whatever works for the individual.

Well said. And IMO, the answer to your questions is yes. Because it can be measured accurately. We're not talking about your name on a script, we're discussing accurate, safe dosing.

Edit: Maybe it's easier for an MD to write a script for tablets than send a script to a compounding pharmacy to make a proper, accurately measured dose. I don't know if pharmacies can compound this medication - I don't see why not.....but I do know there are lazy, inept physicians.. Taking "about" 1/8 or 1/4 dose, measuring by eye and cutting with a razor blade is like flying in a plane with a pilot who says "What's five or six hundred feet? Don't worry about it. I'll hit the runway."

Humans came to the idea of measurement for a reason.

I thought above you said something about trying liquidex. My names on my script so that has to do with me using a research company or a script with my name on it. Now, airplanes and anastrazole seem to be further apart than my legitimate script and using a supplement from a research company.

Im sorry you had such a hard time cutting a 1/8 of an Anastrozole. For ME its actually not that hard to do as my bloodwork supports as well as many other users on this site I've communicated with.

It would be very nice if they could compound this to make it more simple. Not sure if they're lazy or if there's not enough money to be made with compounding Anastrozole.

    Thanks for your opinion 2sox.

Also, thought I might add I use a pill cutter. That was at the advice of Austenite.
