    Dr's referring me out due to high Hematocrit & Estro almost double. WTF?

    Just got back my latest blood work. Doc had lowered me 25% on my Test to 75mg a week. He was concerned about my Hematocrit. 90 days later and new blood work shows it went up instead of down. So he referred me to a blood specialist or something his secretary told me. Couldn't reach him. He is confused about Test and is referring it out now. Any suggestions?

    90 days or so ago;
    Hematocrit - 52.4 Now - 53.3
    RBC - 5.88 Now - 5.97
    Hemoglobin- 18.4 Now -18.9

    Test Serum 1175 Now - 795
    Test Free 32.8 Now 26.6
    Estrodiol 14.8 Now 25.3

    Protocol

    Test 75 week
    HCG .25x2 week
    Cialis 5 mgs day
    Just started back on Anostrozole 0.4 mg
    " "Progesterone 15
    (Anostr & Progest are a topical creme)

    Are you just pinning the whole dose once weekly?
    You respond very well to test, so you could even lower your dose a bit more.
    And you need to donate blood (or get a phlebotomy prescribed), as this is the best way to get those RBCs back down.

    Pinning 3 times a week sub-q. Will they take my blood as is? (My doc will not prescribe me a phlebotomy)

    I might think about a new Doc. Mine wrote me a script for a phlebotomy when my hematocrit was high. You should have donated some blood or had a phlebotomy the first BW.

    your doc is right by lowering your dose to get rid of these sides, but wrong on not giving you script for a phlebotomy. what is you hematocrit now? if its below 54% you might be able to donate, anything higher its 50/50 change you'll get rejected.

    Yeah that's odd. I've never heard of a phleb Rx refused.

    How can I get by without AI when my Estrodiol is so high? (Almost double since last bw)

    Post ranges for more accuracy but that number is not high. Lower is NOT always better. It's how you feel. Example: Mine runs around 24 on a sensitive assay yet I feel much better 10 pts higher.

    Like I said above I appreciate that. I must admit I also feel better at the lower Test level. I would have thought that 1175 would make me feel better but it seems where I am at now feels best (795). Is that normal too?

    How is it that your estradiol was lower at a higher dosage?

    His aromatase enzyme hadn't upregulated to counter his overly high test levels.

    How you feel is more important than numbers on BW. BW is just a guide.

    2 questions;

    How do I ask my Dr for a phlebotomy? When I suggest he thinks I'm playing Dr.
    What are symptoms of too high of Estro?

    Is there a body of work online that I can print to share with my Dr on phlebotomy?

    You can show him Web MD. There are several articles on the net, just google high hematocrit. It's puzzling how it's all on the net and even Web MD and he doesn't know.

    I just donated blood last night and I had higher RBC and hemocrit numbers than yours. They did the blood test and asked me to volunteer for double red cell donation because my RBC count was high. This was at a Red Cross blood drive. Go to the Red Cross web site and do a search on where they are collecting.

    I'm curious. How would you describe how you feel now at 795 as compared to 1175?

    Interesting question. I would say because I feel like I am gaining muscle just as well if not better. It may be psychosomatic but I also like the idea of putting less chems in my body. I feel less aggressive,I still have good libido and seem to be in good spirits. I guess that is what we are looking from with TRT. If I can do it with less then why not? I am also saving up reserves to do a 2x's a year blast to try and look good for Summer.

    Awesome. I, along with a lot of guys here, agree that more is not always better. Lowering my dose has shown no decrease in any of the things you mentioned. Workouts are as good as ever. Still taking cialis to jump start this 52 yr old hard drive, though

    I have a confession. I use Cialis too. 5mg a day.
