Question about estrogen
Ok, I know the mantra is, estrogen follows testosterone . Been on TRT for almost 2 months now. Feeling all of the good stuff from it so far. However, I've been noticing I've been much stiffer (joints, not the other thing) and feeling a bit bloated. I believe these are symptoms of high estrogen.
I had my bw done last week so waiting on results. If you all have done anything to me, you've made me understand how important it is to follow the bw and adjust accordingly.
Doc had prescribed anastrozole but he wanted me to do 1mg EVERY DAY! I've been doing 1mg on the day I do test and plan to adjust based on my bw when I get the results back. However, was reading up on it and I see the halflife of it is about 46 hours. So I'm guessing, while I'm doing a high dose, it's not helping me much after a couple of days.
I've also read that many people are doing .25mg every other day or 3x a week. How the hell do you split such a small pill do get a correct dosage? But I digress.
Anyway, my main question is, does it sound like my symptoms (listed above) would be estrogen issues? Thankfully, I should get my bw back next week (hopefully) so I can get this sorted out.
Thanks.

They very well could be. Joint pain is a symptom of low estrogen.
.25 EOD is pretty much a cycle dose. I say this here all the time so think about this and what your doc prescribed: The avg adex dosage for someone on a 500mg per week cycle is .25 EOD. Do you think you need that much on TRT? Even taking 1mg one time per week surpasses that amount! At the most I would only do .25mg the day after each injection, which times the peak of test so you get the most bang for your buck with the least amount of adex. Frequent retesting is crucial to dialing in.
Buy a pill cutter at Walmart or the local pharmacy. They're cheap and work.Last edited by kelkel; 12-11-2013 at 10:51 AM.

Dear kel, is there a difference between joint stiffness and pain? I notice on a lazy day I'm stiff but never sore. Or am I silly?

One man's stiffness is another man's pain (pun intended, where's DSM.)
Dread if it's continuous then BW is your key, as always. Could be E related, injury, arthritic conditions or other body inflammation. A "C Reactive Protein" (CRP) blood test level would help indicate internal inflammation.

Thanks. Going to have to pick up a pull cutter but these things are pretty friggin' small and I'd have to get it to 1/4 size. I'll take your word they work.
I think I'm starting to understand all of this stuff.
