Restart went wrong
Hey guys so i'm wondering what happened with my restart.
I tried scallys restart which was
1600hcg EoD for 2 weeks (he recommends more but that's all I had)
4 weeks clomid 100 throughout
6 weeks nolva 40 throughout
2 weeks after pct
12/26/12
Total T 865 (248-1197)
LH 15.4 H (1.7-8.6)
FSH 9.7 (1.5-12.4)
Estradiol 42.3 (7.6-42.6)
Ranges are same throughout
6 weeks after PCT. Why did my numbers go up???
1/7
Total T 1017
LH 11.6 H
FSH 9.6
Estradiol 42.1
10 weeks post pct Would have been stoked with these levels
Total T 571
LH 5.1
FSH 3.9
Estradiol 24.1
15 weeks post pct Numbers continued to fall
Total T 394
LH 2.2
FSH 3.3
Estradiol 18.1
Then I got on TRT as I figured I would keep goign down. Now I was on gear for 2 years so maybe If i would have waited a few more months I would have gone up a bit.
The problem was that my SHBG which was 19 naturally climbed to 76 From the pct. This left me with no free T, even when my Total t was 1100 my free T was barely mid-range. Currently on trt my SHBG is ~32
I know clomid and nolva can raise SHBG as well as shooting a lot of HCG . I'm planning on doing another restart now and being more patient this time, being that I'm only 22.
I figure I have a few options. Just Clomid and Nolvadex , or nothing and just letting my body recover on it's own. Obviously the latter is probably a better idea but not if my SHBG climbs to a ridiculous number again. My numbers on TRT are perfect right now, seriously without an ai and I had a complete panel done, the most thorough one that can be tested through labcorp and the only thing off was my iron levels but no one seems to think it's a big deal. Yet I still only feel good maybe one day a week. I'd rather take my chances and try a restart.
Just curious as to what my best bet is.
Maybe run clomi for 6 months this time as my body recovers at a low dose. I'm trying to get with the board sponsors just for the help of a restart but I'm stumped at the moment.Last edited by jomamma007; 12-21-2013 at 09:14 PM.

Since your numbers are good and you feel good why not just stay on trt? Is it money are just the fact that you don't wanna be married to a neddle at 22

One of the reasons your restart may have not went well is because most of the time they do not work. Yes they can work but the odds are never in your favor. I'm not saying that's what happened but there's a good chance.

I think you had the right idea man, keeping up with BW every 4 weeks is good to see. It may be time to reflect on being a lifer! I'll be doing the same in a few days when my BW and MRI results are in. Good luck

Restarts have about a 50/50 success rate in men in their early 20's. The older we get the less odds of success a restart has. A man in his 30's and above, the odds are not good. It can work but again, the odds are not good.

We have guys come through all the time that ran cycles in their late 20's and 30's and who are completely shutdown. Plenty of guys who run these so-called PCT's, same story. Cycles are one of those things that have no guarantees even if you supposedly do things right. Personally I don't like the "do things right" line because it's too black and white. Improve your odds? Sure, but that's as far as it goes.

You were on for 2 years, at 15 weeks your numbers dont look that bad. You should have given it more time and realize you took 2 years screwing it up so give it some time to go back to normal.
Most of us who are on TRT would have loved to have close to 400 naturally and tried more to get it to go up naturally.

The problem was that my SHBG was 73. So that 400 Total T resulted in a free test of 3(9-26)
. I do think If I would have given my body another few months thigns might have leveled out but I'm freaked out to try again.
I mean a 2 months pct and then waiting 4-6 months to see If I recover.
And if I don't I basically wasted 6 months of my life because I cannot function with low T, at my age it hits so hard.
