Gel or injectable?
Just curios on what some of the more experienced guys think on Androgel vs injectable test?
My doctor had prescribed Androgel for me a 1 1/2 years ago and it brought my levels up from 140 to around 650 and has been holding steady. As long as my numbers are good it should be doing the same either way? The reason I ask is that I see most members are taking test e or c from their doctors.
I did ask the Doctor what the difference was and he told me they would do the same job but levels are more stable with Gel and the price is cheaper on injectable.Last edited by diesel101; 01-06-2014 at 09:44 AM.

Simply personal choice. It's all testosterone just a different delivery system. Daily gels do mimic the bodies diurnal testosterone levels better than injections but it boils down to lifestyle. If gels work for you and there are no issues such as kids, poor or decreasing absorption, etc., then stick with it. If you are paying out of pocket get on injections asap. As always, monitor your BW and make prudent decisions.
I did well on Androgel 1.62% initially. Then I started having absorption issues and had to keep upping the amount of pumps. Ended up at six a day and at that point I had enough so I switched to injections.

I never have checked what the price is without insurance but I hear it is very expensive.

Ridiculous. I've been on testim for 2+ years. My first rx, pharmacy had a glitch with insurance and it was $650 for two boxes(30 days worth). With ins., it costs me $35. lol. It's all about those sales reps pushing it on the drs. And because many docs are not well informed on trt matters, they just push it on their patients. Personally op, I'm doing fine with the gel. No problems except for high hct and hgb, which was brought back to normal with one donation and slightly reducing my daily t dose(Thanks to kel who is always giving this advice). I'm glad I listened
