Hematocrit Question
Hey Bros!
After donating blood when Hematocrit levels are bit high, does one as a person feel better?
And are headaches symptoms of high levels of hematocrit?

My girl was high and donated and says she felt no difference. I donated as well and felt no difference. Guess it depends on how high you are? I was at the upper level where as my girls blood work was flagged as high.

Everyone has already answered, but I'll join in....
Two months ago I found out my hct was 54.5. Doc said nothing, but thanks to the guys here, I knew what to do. I donated, dropped my t dose down. Felt the same. Monday, I went to donate again. My hct went down to 47. So, after this donation it must be down even moreThis time I feel extremely better than I had. Bp down and just feel better. I was getting out of breath during workouts. Did legs today and felt great...not out if breath or heart beating super fast. Sorry for the loooong response.

Well Gentelman!
To inform that I just donated blood.
It was 450 ml equal to a pint!
Let see how it goes.
Other that that, I feel somehow refreshed!

A few day have gone by and I must say I have been feeling well !
Before I would have disturbing headaches during workouts, however, after blood donation i must say it has subsided considerably!
Definitely donating blood makes the body good!
Just wanted to report!

Awesome to hear that. My bp is definitely down a bit. I'll be going every two months for sure. However, I will make sure I get a different tech to take it. 5 days later and I still have a hole and a bruise. First time I did it, nothing at all like this.

I am also going to lower the TRT dose...
Is it safe to donate a pint of blood after a month after 4 weeks since I lastly donated?

Where exactly on the head is the headache located? I've been getting headaches at the base of my skull, but think that they're mostly tension related.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but thanks Sox, great point! I've been hitting the gym and crossfit a little too hard lately and crushing my back. And thanks Pimpin re: the general pressure feeling!

You'll be fine. Just have someone help you to be safe while self drawing.

I have had to do more therapeutic draws as my hematocrit is still high. But you're right, I feel better after each one. Got two left over the next two weeks.
