My protocol
I was doing the every 3.5 day test 200 mg and chug 250iu weekly and felt worse, .25 ai. I seem to do better when I do 200mg of test once a week on Sunday morning and then 250iu hcg on Friday and Saturday and .25 ai on Monday is this a bad protocol, don't see why the twice a week is so hyped up, I think the 1 a week with hcg day before and 2 days before use tone the standard

Personally I do once a week with HcG both days prior to shot and A.I one day after then 3 days later. I don't care for the injections so unless I felt a tangible difference I see no need for it. Many here do it for more stable/consistent levels and for less of an estrogen spike.
Not knocking that by any means but I'm a believer in keeping things as simple as possible where some threads I've read of people totally micro managing the process. As always, how you feel and where does your BW fall.

I agree keeping it simple works best people like to make there protocols identical to everyone elses instead of listening to there own bodies, on another noter red blood cell count was around 50.5 the last time and my dr said it was fine at that so when is it considered to high.

200mg every 3.5 days, that's 400mg/wk. That's far beyond what any sane physician would prescribe for TRT. Perhaps you're self-medicating but it's not surprising that you felt bad. 400mg plus only .25 of an AI, your estradiol was probably pretty high. That's more than likely why you felt bad. You can feel pretty good on just about any dose of testosterone as long as it's enough to optimize your levels. But if your ratio of testosterone to estradiol is out of line, estradiol too high or too low, you will feel bad. This will always hold true regardless of the testosterone dose.

Caira,
I feel LowT was spot on with his assessment of your protocol and with your doctor's incompetence; bad protocol and bad medicine, and I speak from my own experience in this regard.
"Twice a week is so hyped up" because it is so successful for so many men. If you listen to the experiences of men on this forum, you'll clearly see why. Bullshark got one important thing right: "Many here do it for more stable/consistent levels and for less of an estrogen spike."
Unless I'm reading this completely wrong, from your comments it seems you're very fast to denigrate something you have no experience with and dismiss the knowledge of others. This can only hold you back from learning - and it will most surely hurt you. And by the way, it's good to "listen to your body". But if you don't know enough of WHAT to listen for, it won't be as useful as it could.
Allow me to make an analogy: Nature intended that inexperienced wolf puppies watch their mothers, listen to them, hopefully learn - and survive. Be a wise puppy. There are a good many wise "mothers" on this board who will help you along - if you let them.

I apologize I meant 200 total a week 100 on Monday and then 100 on Thursday and did this for 6 or more months. Twice a week is hyped up in my opinion ive done it both ways. 1 a week with hcg day before injection and two days before injection was a pretty standard way to do trt therapy and a lot less complicated than twice a week and then taking it to another level by going sub q and then even smaller doses more than twice a week ridiculous. more often than not dr prescribe once a week with hcg day before and 2 days before test injection then ai day after injection easy as 123.

Not everyone metabolizes testosterone the same. There are those that do just as well with one injection per week as they do with two. And you'll find the exact opposite is true just as often.
Here's a perfect real life example. Myself and one other guy here at our office. Both of us are on TRT. If I inject oncer per week, by day 6 my levels are tanked. The other guy, his levels are still elevated past a week from the date of injection. There is no reason for him to inject twice per week. Me on the other hand, I have every reason to. If I don't, I feel very sluggish and tired by weeks end.
Everyone is different when it comes to TRT. There are very few absolutes. This is why general advice that's one size fits all is often terrible advice. What works for one man or even 20 men will not necessarily work well for another.
