    Major surgery and supplements

I would hate for my lab rats to have complications when getting a new left hip. Do you thing that the supplements like HCG , liquid stane and liquid Cialis would cause any problems before during and after a hip replacement? I ask because once the hip is done the rats would have to take antibiotic an hour before even having dental work done, for fear of infection.

As someone that recently had a hip replacement just be careful. Are you on TRT? If not I wouldn't personally be injecting anything that could possibly risk infection at least for the first several weeks. As for Cialis you'll have no reason to take it because you WON'T be having sex for many weeks. Are you getting a Bermingham Hip Resurfacing or a traditional hip? If not a resurfacing you should SERIOUSLY look into it esp. if you're into bodybuilding and you're fairly young. You want to minimize any possibly of getting an infection esp. immediately before during and after the surgery. Please let me know if you have any questions because I went thru this just over 2 years ago and it was really difficult but in the end the best thing I've ever done to improve my life.

    Pete,
Thanks for the reply I am getting a full hip replacement. I found a younger doctor that is up on all the new advances, he is using the ASI procedure and using the Epoly plastic stabilis. The ASI procedure is when they go in from the front and spread two muscles vise cutting muscles and the Epoly is infused with vitamin E and is supposed to last longer. With the ASI I will not have any restrictions as far as movement and recovery is faster. In fact it will be done as an outpatient procedure and I go home the same day.
If you don't mind could you describe how your symptoms came on? I have concerns that my pain might be nerves vise the arthritis and bone spurs??? In January 2013 my left hip bothered me a little... it hurt just a bit when I stretched. Then back in Sept I was straddling a picnic table watching a movie for about 2 hours, when I stood up I could hardly walk. From there the pain continued to get worse and worse, in the last two months it has gotten so bad that I get woke up two to three times a night with my hip aching. It just seemed to come on so fast. Once I get moving I don't have to much pain and can still walk pretty much normal and do 45 minutes on the elliptical but at night it aches all night. Back in 2006 I crashed my motorcycle on the race track and had to have my C5 and C6 fused and my C7 is herniated so bad that my spinal cord goes around the disc. I just wonder if it may be nerves vise my hip? The MRI and Xrays do show arthritis and bone spurs in the ball and socket and the cartilage is deteriorating.

My liquid CIA is from ARR just don't know how sterile there labs are same as HCG and stane. With HCG being injected I wouldn't want to inject myself with something that is not 100% sterile and cause an infection while the bones heal.

I had pre surgery labs done and had my test and estradial checked while I was at it. Test 782 estradial high at 52. My PH in my urine was also high.

Ok 11 days since surgery and all went well. I am cleared to go back to work next week, walking without any cane, crutches etc.. almost full range of motion in my hip. I had my follow up with the doc yesterday and he said I could start taking all my supplements again, so now the battle begins again.

It has been 14 months since I started sub Q injections and still can't get where I feel I want to be. All I want is my total T to be about 850 and maintain E2 in the 20's to low 30's. But it seems every time I get above 700 my e2 shoots up to the 50's.

My protocol that I will be starting back up today is 80mg T every 3.5 days (Sun Morning and Wed evening) 250 IU hcg Mon-Wed and Fri and 2.5 mg liquid stane from ar-r . Plus the normal slow release micronized DHEA and pregnenolone

During the last 4 weeks when I was told to stop all my supplements I reduced my t dose to 70mg every 3.5 days and stopped everything else.

Any suggestions on starting back up?

I'm glad I read the thread titled "is testosterone causing heart attacks, strokes and pre-mature death". If I reflect back on the last year or so I did feel best when my total test was in the 500-600 range and this I can achieve with about 65-70 MG every 3.5 days and I did not need an AI.
I think I will just shoot for that range and get labs done in 6 weeks.
