    New protocol. First timer. Help

    Starting Today.

    100mg 1x a week subq with 29 gauge 1 cc needles.

HCG 500IU 2x a week (but I may lower the dose, but my doctor prescribed this)

Arimedex .5 MG 2x a week (again, seems like a high dose)

My doctor thinks subQ is much better, and easier, and blood work comes back similar for IM and subQ

But I noticed that on the bottle of cypionate , it says for IM use only.

    Thoughts?

I'd suggest splitting it in half and injecting every 3-4 days. It will lessen the need for an AI and provide more stable serum T levels.

No need for that much. 250 x 2 is fine.

It is a high dose. What's your E2 level? Consider a 500mg test cycle, the avg adex dose is .25 EOD. Do the math. You're doing more.

SQ is effective and easier for some: Subcutaneous administration of testosterone. A p... [Saudi Med J. 2006] - PubMed - NCBI

    Just standard labeling...

    Thoughts?

My e2 level was 28 on ultrasensitive quest test. Range being <29. Should I wait to even take an AI until I get blood work,, or should I start with the smaller dose right away.

My plan is to Inject T wednesdays...HCG Mondays and Tuesdays. When would AI be taken?

Not familiar with Quest's test but based on the range I doubt it's specific to males, which leaves much to be desired. Judgement call on the adex. Whatever you do be consistent so BW is accurate. Don't bounce around. If you run adex use the smallest dose possible. It works quick and is effective. You don't want to crash your E.

I would not start with the Arimidex . Get blood work in a good 6-8 weeks and start dosing arimidex then based on blood work if needed.

Like Kel mentioned, I would inject test twice per week. This will keep your levels stable and may allow you to get away without having to use the Arimidex. If you do go this route, inject your HCG the day before your test injections.

Thanks for the tips. Also. My doctor prescribed 28 gauge but pharmacy gave me 29 because thats all they had and they said its basically the same. Is that true? Does it make a difference with subq if I use 28 or 29

No difference. I use 26g and some even use as small as 30g. Just takes longer to load the pin.

After hearing your advice FRDave/Kel, I have decided to modify my protocol a bit. My doctor is pretty lenient so he wont mind when I tell him that I adjusted it. Now it is 100 mg sub q on wednesday. HCG 500 on monday tuesday

    I will change it to..

Monday HCG 500 or 250. Script is for 500, but everyone seems to say 250 is just as good.
Tuesday 50 mg sub q test cyp

    Thursday HCG 250 or 500
Friday 50 mg sub q test cyp.

Hopefully this does the trick for me. Thanks for your advice, much appreciated

That looks better in my opinion. HCG dosage differs for everyone in which you want to use the smallest amount that works. I personally use 400iu the day before my test injections for a total of 800iu weekly. I experimented with 250iu 2-3x weekly all the way up to 500iu and settled at 400iu 2x week.

I can vouch for the twice a week split. I noticed intense roller coaster effects when doing once a week injections -- felt good first half of the week and tapered off towards the end. Since switching to twice a week, I feel great all week long. Also, ditto on the AI. I crashed my E and that was almost as bad as pre-TRT. Start low and adjust up if needed (via BW).

    Welcome & good luck!!!

    Thanks noOne23.

Im going to hold off on the AI until blood work confirms that I need it. The ultrasensitive E2 test that my doctor orders from quest is male specific by the way. So I think its accurate.

Last question. With HCG I plan on injecting Subq the day before my T injection. Should I start at the prescribed 500 or start at 250 and work my way up? What are the signs that you have hit a good HCG dose. Im getting the HCG shipped to me so I dont have it yet. Is it easy to use like the T. Just draw it from bottle and inject? Or will I have to do something with it?

    Thanks alot

If it's in powder form u need to mix it, very easy to do. Yes you simply draw it & inject it subQ. I'd start low for sure...why not!? You may need more but prolly not. Less drugs you need to put in your body the better
