Just made the switch to sub q

After hitting a nerve on my last quad injection, I decided it was time to switch. If im going to do this indefinitely it will be comfortable.

First shot, in the glute. Absolutely painless. Awesome. Not even any anxiety.

    Went from 1.5" 25g to 1/2" 27g

Shout out to low testosterone . com. Ordered the needles Friday morning and they got here today in time for my shot.

Also I tried something new. I put my vial on a candle warmer for almost 10 minutes (the warmer was not already hot). I did this instead of running it under hot water. Worked great, Drew through the 27g faster then I could draw the 25g under hot water. Injected easier too.
*if anyone can come up with a reason I should not continue this please let me know

Consider buying some 18 ga needles (not the whole syringe) so you can load with a different one and not dull the first prior to injection.

I did that with the 25s previously in fact I have 25s left I could load with.

I didn't notice any discomfort when I made the switch to using the same needle.

Do you see anything wrong with the candle warmer idea?

As long as it's only warming it, your fine. Don't even approach cooking it or elevating it's temperature for a long period of time.
Personally I've never felt the need to warm it. You'll have no problem loading with a 27ga, warm or not. Try your next one without doing so and you'll see. It'll load in seconds. IMHO it's just not necessary.

I noticed a slightly quicker load time through the 25 after leaving it in hot tap water for 5 minutes. Maybe it was in my head. I'll try it on Thursday though, for scientific reasoning

The 5 sec is saves you to load is not worth the 10+ min and the hassle of warming IMO. I can load my 26g with .25mg in 20 sec.

Make sure you are injecting air into the vial prior to pulling the oil to create a neutral or positive air pressure in the vial. A negative air pressure in the vial will make it hard to pull the oil out.

I bought syringes with 21g on them for loading and bought a bunch of 27g needles to swap out after loading to use for injecting.

I load and inject with the same 29 gauge needle/syringe. Takes about a minute to load. No discomfort upon injecting.

Those of you who are switch to subq injections, I'd recommend getting some blood work done after awhile to see how the subq process is working.

For whatever reason, when I switched to subq injections for awhile, my test levels were not the same as IM.

Dante, my test levels actually increased a bit while on subq. Also my E2 dropped a bit. I can do IM or subq, I find subq more convenient.

What syringes are you guys using for SubQ? I used a 29g 1/2 insulin pin this morning and drawing was a pain. If you have any links to ordering them online it would be appreciated.

    As I stated, I'm using a standard 1cc syringe and 27g 1/2" tips

There is no "perfect" amount, really. Everyone has to find his own way. But I do 28mg Test Cyp, EOD.

    I don't know about perfect, but I do 50 mg 2X a week no problems. (1/4 cc)

OK, cause when I do shots 200 mg was keeping me at 880 test, I was wondering if 100 mg is too much

To be honest I started subq because of my lower dosage. Had I been at your dosage I might have stayed on IM. You may have to experiment. Others have injected subq divided in two spots. For example, left and right abdominal area, half abdominal and half pubic area, ( thanks 2Sox) etc. My test level did increase a bit but if I had to split my injections due to higher dose, I might have stayed on IM. Just my opinion.

Will be different for everyone. 100mg split into 50mg every Tuesday and Saturday via sub-Q puts me in the upper 900 range.

I'm going the other way...from sub q glute to intramuscular glute. My concern is lowering DHT, which I understand is higher with sub q absorption. I did my first 2 intramuscular doses this week. Easy peasy.

I've never heard DHT to be higher with SQ. And DHT is not your enemy, it's what makes you a man. Gels tend to spike DHT but injections should really not be a problem.

I agree. At least with me it dropped about 100 pts (total test) and my free test went from 24 to 16 and my E2 went up from 24 to 38 (no ai being used)

I am implementing very soon a EOD dose IM with 1/2 needles in thighs. I am very lean on the things ( its the dang back fat thats a killer)

That is exactly how I dose my TRT. I inject test prop EOD @ 40mg. By doing this, I am able to keep my estrogen lower in range without an AI. I first researched this method sometime ago as I was having problems crashing my estrogen with Arimidex .

However, doing IM and EOD dosing, you are going to want to rotate more injection sites than just your quads. If you are set on a half inch needle, you could also inject into your biceps and triceps. If you are lean you could also possibly do lats and traps.

When I run a cycle, I will use Aromasin throughout. Much more tolerant than Arimidex for me. I'm thinking of switching back to injecting just twice a week with enanthate or cypionate . Bloods and levels are perfect with how I'm doing things now, but to be honest, I am tired of being a pincushion. I've been doing this protocol for years and I need a break. When I switch back, I'm going to try a lower dose of Aromasin and see how that works.

Biceps and Triceps? I might explore some videos where exactly on the bi and tri. IM seems to be better absorption for me. Anyway, thanks for the ideas.

I occasionally hit the delts and biceps together anything at 15mg in the bi i feel nothing that last shot at 25mg left me sore in that spot for 3 days. My arms are in the 16 inch range so theres not much there to stick a pin into, growth is happening very slowly though more now than the last 19 weeks i started trt.

Feels good i use both 28-29g 1/2 pins.
