Clomid restart after 2.5yrs on TRT, age 26
My endo has prescribed me clomid to try an HPTA restart after abusing steroids from age 17-23, then moving to self-medicated TRT from age 23-now. She has me taking 25mg eod. Bloods will be done after one month. Unfortunately I don't have labs as of today, but do from November, I believe.
My last sub q test shot was last Monday.
What do you think my clomid experience will be like? Do you think I'll feel like shit before I feel better, as my exogenous test leaves my body and clomid begins to take action? Any other advice?
Thank you

I have read a few success stories. It should kick in pretty quick if it's going to work so you might not feel to bad. My Endo wanted me to try HCG first then Clomid and maybe a combination of both if one or the other didnt work. I never tried it because it was more for fertility and we were just looking for options, not really ready to take the plunge yet.
Good luck and keep us posted.

My endo may indeed want me to try this if the clomid itself doesn't work. I'm surprised she didn't give me hcg this round, but she might be saving that for the next try if this doesn't work, as well.
I'm entering my third week of clomid, 25mg eod
Also entering my fourth week since my last sub q test shot
My sex drive went away about a week ago and I just got my cialis in the mail. Will get blood work done the first week of May (after a month on clomid). I'll post the results.

Okay well you're going to need to wait 2-3 weeks IMO before starting Clomid for it to really have an effect as you still have exogenous testosterone in your system. Took me 3.5 weeks before my LH and FSH rose above <0.2 from my last 80mg injection.

I would have taken HCG right now (or last week while still on testosterone ) and waited a full two weeks for the test to clear and then started clomid but add as well exemestane to cut estrogen.
The amount of estrogen is what your body uses to determine whether to produce testosterone.
Yes, you are going to feel crappy for a while.
Your clomid dose appears very conservative compared to what people do here for a PCT, which is essentially a restart.
I would read some of the PCT threads.
