Personally found creatine to be nothing but a placebo effect....

sorry. i'll have to disagree with the two members above me. many years ago when I first started taking creatine, I kept a log. for me, it didn't do so much on the first set. but on sets two and three, I was able to increase my reps significantly compared to my pre creatine efforts.

creatine is well understood and documented with a number of trials. in fact, we don't talk about creatine much because it is so well understood. I take creatine every day, regardless. and it doesn't matter if on TRT or not. Just take the creatine if you want to improve your lifting performance.

I take creatine and NO2 everyday, it seems to give me energy during the second half of my workout when I really need it. I like it, and will continue to use it, plus it is cheap.

Creatine is about the ONLY thing that is proven to work, 5g of Mono = 30$ a year no need to waste money on other things that don't.

I just started taking it about a week ago. How long does it take to kick in?

two to four weeks. keep a log so you can track your results and know for sure.

in fact, anytime you take something new, you should always log your results so you can see if any benefit or not.

    It simply works. Read this:

If and when you need to review supplements this is the place. Unbiased and accurate.

I also think it's like anything else, each person reacts to it differently. I have tried just using monohydrate and I just feel like it doesn't work for me as good as cell tech. Been using cell tech on and off since it first came out years ago and it never disappoints me. My brother uses mono and swears by it, to each his own.

Celltech has creating and sugar nothing else besides fillers and 10x more costly. Maybe in your head, if anything just add a sugar drink to it and save the money.

Been using it for years Ryan, every time I start up I add noticeable weight and strength. Like I said different for different ppl. It works for me. I know it has the sugars in it, idk maybe that helps it upload into me where as mono doesn't. And I have tried different juices and whatnot with my mono and just don't feel it. I'll keep using what works for me.

I haven't used it in a while but the sugar is what made it absorb properly and work. Back then you were supposed to mix it with juice.

I used to buy dextrose from the pharmacy and add it to my mono, it was supposed to be the best for uptake.

Does it cause bloating though and be bad during a cut?

for me I only bloat very little but during the loading phase. Once that is done, no none at all for me.

It's my understanding that "loading" is completely unnecessary and even risky regarding kidneys. Comments?

loading is unnecessary. I take creatine in the long term. so what benefit do I receive by jump starting maybe a week or so earlier? just 5 grams a day is the recommended dose.

It's really pretty simple. try not to over think it.

I split the recommended dose in two; once in the morning and once at dinner. Does it matter?

I take mine pre, intra, and post workout. I get zero bloat, I think that was when they told you to load it so you took int 100g of sugar a day for a week and filled up with water.

I can only speak for myself. I can't sit here a say I'm on creatine 24/7 365 because I'm not. I always load for a week when I start back up, been doing it since creatine came on the scene. My kidneys are fine so I can't speak for that. I never read that but I suppose it could have some merit. About the same as using steroids , not gonna lose sleep over it.

Last I looked, no one was lurking inside my mind. I asked because a good friend of mine does it and I thought, "Why not?" Was wondering about the logic of it. Therefore, my post.

It is my understanding that loading isn't required now a days with certain brands. Back when I did you had to load.

No logic just over thinking, the directions say 5g a day 1 serving, like splitting up a multivitamin or eating 8 meals a day its not needed and adds no value.

Should have stopped at splitting up a multivitamin. Good till there just eating 8 small meals a day vs. 3 or 4 big meals def. will make a difference not so much in your nutri divisions but def. in metabolism rate.

That's incorrect and that was told to my by both of the coaches I used, Dr Layne Norton and Alan Aargon. Both have coached world class Olympic athleates, hell Alan told me that he never has anyone not even the LA Lakers eating that many meals.

Not trying to get into a pissing match just lots of broscience always getting posted on the internet. Even if you eat 100gP in 1 meal you body will use it, you don't think if you eat 10k calories you body can only use 2-3k? Tell that to the 400+ woman

I used to take, years ago, it was good for about 10lbs of weight (water?) on me, on and off cycles too. It gave a puffier look, not a hard look. I felt it was beneficial though as I have a lean body type anyways. Now on TRT for the last 18 months and like it very much. Still getting dialed in on the correct protocol, but plan to keep it lean as I get older, so no desire to start using it again. You have to ask yourself, what is your goal in using it and go from there.
