Just started treatment
I have just been put on 100mg of test every two weeks. At week 6 I get my blood drawn again. Only after 2 injections. I don't understand my doctors theory here. One shot every two weeks of 100 mg. people have been telling me that this is not going to do shit except make me feel like shit. Can someone help me understand. I just can't go tell my doctor that he is wrong as I have been getting nfo from this site. Help

100 mg a week is the usual starting dose. You are effectively at 50 mg a week. Dr does not seem to be well schooled in hrt. I might start looking for another. Are you self injecting or is the Dr doing it?

My dr is doing the injections. But I don't understand why once every two weeks. Unless he is starting very slow with very low dosing. I don't know. I hope next blood draw my levels will still be low so he will increase dosage and more often

Mine started out with 200 mg every 2 weeks, some doctors are just covering their butts and taking it step by step. Also they can charge an injection fee, office visit and blood work plus medication for each shot. So they make money off it was well.

Ok that makes me feel better about it. People have been telling me that I will feel like shit because of my dr dosing. True? Is there anyway to manipulate the next blood draw so my levels are still low?

oh yea, you can eat like crap the night before, stay up late and get as little sleep as possible, have a cigar and a few drinks. All of this will help drop your test levels. Dont have sex or masturbate for 2 days prior to your blood work or it will mess up your PSA levels.

I just know that I can't supplement my current dosage as it will show up on blood tests. I used to injected myself about 8 years ago. I was told by some friends at work who also use supplements that back then I was using before that I was taking to much. I look back at my pics back the I was a big boy but bloated. Gut, swoll face, etc. so I have being told that starting slow is good as then people will not instantly notice the gains. Plus it's more healthier this way. I get my second injection on Monday so I hope I start really start seeing changes in strength. I believe I already noticed that I am stronger with more endurance. So is it from my first injection, or all in my head. I do know drinking heavy a couple of days will drop my test levels. That's what I did before the first test. If I would do that again I believe my wife will catch on. I have a friend that said he could hook me up with something to drop my test levels. So I think I just going to have to be patient. Thanks to all

Testosterone injections only stay in your system for 7 to 10 days.
If you are getting injections every 2 weeks. You basically are going without Testosterone support for 4 to 7 of those days.
This up and down can lead to mood swings, fatigue, lack of libido, hot flashes, and depression.
If they are drawing blood a week to ten days later your Testosterone levels will automatically be low, no need to try and push them lower.
A lower dose of T to start is fine, but it needs to be injected at least once a week.
Otherwise go with a different Doctor.

I suppose after next blood draw he will increase the does or more frequent the injections. If not I will talk with him. As they say. We have to be proactive in our health care. Thanks everyone. Any more advise would be welcomed

just push to inject atleast 100mg once per week and every three days preferably. it wont do any good injecting every two weeks, even if he bumped you to 1000mg.

I just have to be patient with the dr. If my levels come back low again I will mention some of what you are all saying. Wow, am I turning into a drug seeker! Instead of pain pills it's steroids ! Better results from steroids though. It's now a look better feel better vs look like shit but feel good. Keep posting! Anybody need any advise from a beginner?

Your doctor does not understand TRT. The half life of test. cyp. is about 7 days- after a week half of it has broken down into other compounds. After two weeks half of the remainder has broken down. At that point your level will be at 1/4 of the peak level.
Dosing every two weeks means that in order to not run low and "crash" before your next injection you have to take a larger dose. That excess causes more conversion to estrogen, which is not what you want. Among other things it will make you bloated.
Did this doctor try to figure out why you're low, or just look at the numbers and write a script? A guess would be that prior steroid abuse but it could be something else that is treatable. Being on natural T, even if a little low, is preferable to TRT.

No he just looked at numbers and symptoms. No other checks we done. Like I said before if my levels are still low and I still have symptoms we will talk about increase dose or weekly injections. This is frustrating because I am sure he does not treat to many low t patients. He should have googled it before he came up with the every two week deals. You mentioned prior steroid abuse , yeah back then I think I was getting ripped off as the dude I trained with was having me take too much, which meant I would go through it faster. Prayed on the ignorant I guess. Peace
