does testosterone still fluctuate on trt?
Let me clarify. Obviuosly I know test levels fluctuate up and down based on injection dose and timing. What I'm wondering is if test levels still fluctuate from day to day based on lifestyle as it does with natural test production. With exogenous test, do test levels still spike in the morning/evening, rise and fall based on workouts, fall due to lack of sleep, poor diet, alcohol, etc...? My assumption would be that it doesn't since the exogenous test is there no matter what, but I'm curious if anyone has first hand experience or studies to reference regarding this. Btw, this is just a random curiosity question, not based on anything I plan to do....

yes it does rise and fall based on workouts, fall due to lack of sleep, poor diet, alcohol, etc. Working out, eating clean and getting sleep pays a huge difference on your test levels. Also higher BF plays a role.

Thanks. Any links to info on that? I've looked around a bit and anything I find is in reference to men who are still producing their own test. It makes sense that natural hormone production changes due to outside factors, but if the source of testosterone is exogenous, then how does it still fluctuate due to an outside influence such as exercise for example? I'm not doubting anybody, just wanting to understand the how and why behind it.

A specialist would need to jump in here for studies since I am not at home. Exogenous test is broken down in the body and subsequently absorbed at a speed depending on one's particular metabolism. When one has a poor diet and has a lack of sleep this can cause fluctuating levels of metabolism. Also increase levels of stress can play a rolls.. Also poor diet can lead to different rates of absorption and more conversion to estrogen.
This is just the basics. Maybe someone else with more knowledge will jump in here.

So it wouldn't so much be that the total amount of test would fluctuate so much as the amount available based on metabolism of it. That would make sense. I would still think a trt patient may less susceptible to daily fluctuations based on smaller factors like losing a little sleep for a few days. Bigger factors like gaining weight and converting more to E2 is a given, but I'm thinking more about minor fluctuations not changes based on more long term health and conditioning.
