Why such a variance in expected ranges on total t BW?

    Hello Everyone,
I'm just now starting to get some BW results back and I had a question regarding my Total T Test. Is it common to have the exact same number on two consecutive tests and why is there such a variance in expected ranges? Plus do you guys believe my number is low enough to consider myself having low testosterone . The urologists says he likes to treat anyone that's under 400 but wants to make sure there is no underlying issues hence doing the extra bloodwork.
    Bio- 6'2" 175lbs 36 years old

First test done a month ago by pcp
    367ng Expected 170-780
Second test done by urologist last week
    367ng Expected 204-1138
    Prolactin
    6 Expected 3-13
    FSH
    4.2 Expected 1-19
    LH
    5.0 Expected 1-9
    TSH
    1.39 Expected 0.34-5.60

Both test were done at 9:00 a.m.

Rest of the results are supposed to be in by the end of the week so I will post them as they come available.

Different labs can use different ranges. And some ranges may be adjusted for age.

How do you feel at your current levels? If there's no problems, why start?

Check the sticky 'Finding A TRT Physician' for recommended initial and follow-up blood work.

Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.

    Thanks for the response Oingo!

I've been feeling pretty bad here the last couple of years. I fit several of the symptoms such as lack of energy, decrease in libido, and brain fog. Plus I've read where it can help with chronic inflammation which I have in my ankles, wrists, and knees so that alone would be a big plus.
My PCP and Endocrinologist both said that by raising my testosterone from 367 to 800-1000 would make no significant changes. So I found this forum and sought out a urologists that is willing to treat me and he claims that I should feel significantly better if I get dialed in around 800-900. So I have a follow up appointment next Thursday to discuss his protocol and determine if I want to start it.
I'll let you guys know how the appointment goes next week.

Read up on some of the protocols here.

And think about hCG as part of your protocol.
