Blood work overview
So I went ahead and obtained my own blood work through private testing. I then presented this information to a Clinic, and was approved for TRT.
However, I would grealy appreciate the help from someone with a bit of knowledge, who might give me a basic overview of my blood work. I want to proceed with the TRT based on what the physician stated, but I think many here have much extensive knowledge and experience with this subject. I'm not too sure the clinic is a subject-matter-expert on this. (well maybe, but I'm curious if the results show something else they may have overlooked)
Testosterone Total 532 348-1197 ng/dL
Free+Weakly % 45.8 9.0-46.0 %
Free+Weakly 243.7 40.0-250.0 ng/dL
Estradiol, Sensitive 13 3-70 pg/mL
Albumin 4.8 3.5-5.5 g/dL
LH 4.6 1.7-8.6 mIU/mL
SHBG 14.5 16.5-55.9 nmol/L
DHEA, Sulfate 647 164.3-530.5 ug/dL
IGF-1 277 115-355 ng/mL
Cortisol AM 15 6.2-19.4 ug/dL
Vitamin D 35.9 30.0-100.0 ng/mL
RBC 5.47 4.50-5.90
Glucose 94 65-99
TSH 1.16 0.45-4.67
Cholesterol, Total 212 124-199
Triglycerides 117 44-149
HDL Cholesterol 66 40-63
LDL 123 <100
Anyone have any clue why Estradiol might be high with the level of testosterone I have? And why DHEA would be high as well? Any connection? I've read tons of info on different hormones, but I just can't seem to find any solid info on the relation between them, and in this case relative to my blood work.
Also, I have many symptoms of Low T. I'm 5'9", 155 lbs, 17% BF, fat on my midsection and chest, but overall average.
I would greatly appreciate some insight.Last edited by Iron883; 09-27-2014 at 11:40 PM.

Others with more knowledge will chime in but I'm not so sure vitamin d alone wouldn't raise your levels considering they are not really low. And your estradiol isn't high although since it isn't e2 sensitive it's hard to say. Also you might be a candidate for hcg and or clomid

Actually, it's Estradiol Sensitive, from LabCorp. I don't know if it's E2 specifically, but it was the only sensitive panel for estradiol that was available.

I don't really see much of a problem with your BW other than you D is low.
That is the correct E2 panel and it's not high, it's a tad low and probably simply due to you being relatively lean therefore less T turning to E.
I'd pay good money for that natural DHEA level.
Examine other aspects of life and improve upon them before you embark on TRT. Better rest, less stress, better nutrition, etc.
Don't let a clinic talk you into thinking you need this. They're a business and want your money. Think hard.
How old are you and what are your symptoms?

Agree with kelkel. I'd be overjoyed to have your numbers.

I dont understand why or how they approved you for TRT therapy with your numbers. I would not want to screw up my natural T if I had numbers like that.
The way you feel could be due to many things that have nothing to do with TRT. First and foremost sometimes you just need to get off your butt and go do things. Trust me, even on TRT it's easy to sit around and do nothing and feel like you have no energy. Getting up and out gives you the energy but you have to make the first move.

Those are almost my numbers on trt. Who do I have to kill to get those naturally?

I'm 25. My symptoms are honestly the real reason why I considered TRT. First and foremost, I can always work on stress, but it is not a big deal in my life. I eat healthy, always have. Sleep, however, has been affected.
Aside from struggling to put on muscle for that last 4 years, and I am not very muscular, I have other issues that to me seem related to testosterone . I am not as confident as I was in my late teens and early 20's. I also don't feel as energetic, my mood swings quite a bit, even my attraction to women seems to be off, I suppose that is my libido. It's quite weird to be honest, but I don't feel as masculine as I did before. Mental clarity is also a problem lately.
I appreciate all the compliments on my hormone levels. I just wish I could figure this out.

Have you considered testing for sleep apnea? Poor sleep impacts so much, including test levels.
Most guys struggle to put on muscle. Normally it's a lack of proper nutrition that's the root cause. It's hard to consistently eat enough to put on muscle.
If you have these issues with your current test level you'll probably still have them with a higher level. The answer lies elsewhere. Just have to find it.
