High free T and low total T

What things can cause high free T and lower total T.

Bloodwork showed High 50> free t but only 414 Total T?

Not on any steroids . I had bloodwork done through lowt*** and this is what came back. I feel run down, libido sucks, and feel like all my lifts in the gym or going down slowly.

doc and couple hrt specialist looked at bloodwork only conclusion they could make with only having just the bloodwork was i was on some type of steroid causing my free t to be off the scale but if i wasnt then they recommended bring bloodwork to my pcp and re-test in 6 months.

Im not on any type of steroid. I found this site researching lowt reveiws.

Also wanted to sat lowt is great, fast customer service and everything was like they said. Dont have anything at all negative to say about them. Just hoping someone had some ideas on how/why my free t could be so high.

Im going to pay to retest on my own just incase of lab error and if not go see a local doc.

It doesn't happen all that often but it is possible that your SHBG is so low that it's causing your free levels to be high despite the weaker total testosterone number. On average free testosterone will generally represent about 2%-3% of total testosterone. On the flip side, if you could lower SHBG enough you could theoretically have your free level be 10% or more of your total.

Your blood work - when a doctor sees numbers like yours, such high free test despite moderately low total test and low HDL, he might think something like a a proviron or winstrol was used - steroids like these lower SHBG giving your free number a boost. Granted, if using steroids you would think your total number would be lower due to suppression, but suppression isn't always absolute, meaning it isn't always a complete suppression (although generally significant). From there, if use were discontinued, the right drugs taken to stimulate LH, theoretically you could show numbers like you're showing. Would the free number stay that high if this were the case? It would seem unlikely.

Lastly, a lab error - yes, that's possible but it is not common. Unfortunately, error or not, a doctor cannot treat someone with testosterone with a number that high. If you'd like, send me a message sometime and we'll see about getting you retested just to be on the safe side in case there was an error with the test. Will be glad to help out and see if we can't get to the bottom of it.

Thanks Low T. I agree with not treating me for low -t with those numbers and like I stated before yall have been great.

After reading alot more shouldnt my Estrodial be high if my free t is that high? Even with the lower total?

Im going to wait a week and pay for a retest (I already feel bad lowt paid for that test and then refunded me the whole amount).

No, a high testosterone level, free or total does not automatically mean you'll have high estradiol levels. If it were that black and white every man on TRT would need an AI but that's far from the case. If you're not aromatizing heavily you're simply not going to have high estradiol levels.

If you'd like, we can run your blood again for a few bucks.
