Doctor won't test my levels
Hey guys, this is my first post in the TRT forum... I'm 19 years old 6"1 and 191 lbs 13% body fat. Recently I've been very tired no matter how much sleep I get and my strength has gone down a little bit but I'm still building muscle... I have my diet, training, and sleep in check. I'm on a fairly clean bulk, just 1 ingredient foods being eaten every two hours. I'm following Baseline's Power/Hypertrophy program and I sleep 6-8 hours every night and don't drink or smoke. The past 3 weeks I haven't been able to get an erection... Well I got one but wasn't able to maintain it during sex, I don't even get morning erections anymore. I was diagnosed with depression years ago and am on 15mg of remron every night and have been for almost a year now, so I don't think that medication is interfering with my libido. Today I mentioned my problem to my doctor and she told me I should look and my relationship, my girlfriend who I've been dating for two years is probably turning me off.

This doesn't make sense because I can't even give myself an erection when I attempt to masturbate, I also have no desire to have sexual intercourse with another girl and no I'm not gay. I'm honestly worried about this because it's really embarrassing when my girlfriend wants to have sex but I'm just not into it... Can my doctor really deny me a chance to get my test levels checked? Can she honestly say it's because my girlfriend is turning me off? I mean come on I find my girlfriend so attractive and I've been with her for two years... Any input will be greatly appreciated, thanks guys

Something I forgot to throw in there, I've never cycled anything or taken any illicit substances.

Go to privated md labs dot com and get the female hormonal panel for 50.99.
That will give you a good baseline and you can take that to her for further more elaborate blood work if levels are low. Anti depression meds usually mess guys up though...

don't waste money on female hormone panel, if you're going to run BW do the correct one. First find a good hormone specialist doctor, it could be thyroid issue, maybe a pituitary issue! or anything really. you're too young for TRT so do more testing to get to the root of your problem.

Bass, what kind of testing? I have no idea what to do in this situation, she honestly laughed me out of her office about the whole thing... How can my girlfriend be the reason I don't get morning erections anymore? I'm pretty angry about the whole thing quite frankly.

He's in Canada so finding doctors is different up there. You're girlfriend is not the problem. Your doctor is being lazy and wants to give you some lame excuse for her not pulling panels on you.

check into life extension, they offer Bloodtest by mail.
they will send you drawing kit, and you send back your blood.
a bit expensive, but for the basic test you will be ok under 200$

There are a few good TRT docs in Ontario, but none of them will see you because of your age. I would recommend that you see the endocrinologist listed below. He specializes in dealing with younger patients, even guys who have become hypogonadal as a result of cycling. I've heard nothing but good things about him.
Dr-Vladimir-Milosevic-Mississauga-ON 905-820-9233
If that doesn't work out for you, then you can try contacting this physician resource page below for BHRT docs in Ontario:

Good luck!

the other thing you can do is go to a rejuvenation clinic! they're easier to work free.

Hey guys sorry I went dark for a while just been overwhelmed with so many things happening in my life that I haven't been able to find the time to thank you for your input on the matter. I ended up going to my therapist and explaining the whole situation to her and she gave me some cialis which was unreal! She sent me in to get my Thyroid and Test levels checked among many other things, sorry I can't remember... She said if my levels are in the low to mid range she would refer to me to an endo or urologist and I'm quite happy about it. I'll let you know what the results are come January 21st when I see her. Cheers!

Hey sorry I didn't update you right after my appointment, they blood work wasn't faxed to my doctor so I didn't have the results at that time... Anyways, my doc called a couple days later saying my total testosterone was a 32.5 and the range is 7.5 - 31.5 I'm happy about it but disappointed at the same time because I'm experiencing many symptoms of low t still. She also tested my thyroid which she said is in great condition, vitamin d is in good shape, creatinine is great, vitamin c is good, and my ammonia is good. That's all she tested... She ended up prescribing me Wellbutrin XL by Mylan at 150 mg every morning for 4 weeks then 300mg every morning after that. She said that should help with the symptoms saying that they must be the result of 7 years using SSRI anti depressants... Must be delayed side effects because I didn't experience impotence on the SSRIs. Any input on the situation would be great, thanks a bunch guys.

shame at 19 you are on an ssri- have you tried to speak to your therapist about getting off that drug and titrating down?
we unfortuanately lean too much on these drugs and at 7 years its no wonder you are feeling the effects of it now, id try getting yourself used to a smaller dose, plateuing for a few months untillyou feel in control (when your own body chemistry kicks in) and slowly keep dropping until you no longer need it.
im not sure if this is even possible- but at 19 you should have some mindfullness and be more self aware now to fight it smartly.
good luck
