TRT Earns Hgh Marks for Safety and Effectiveness

Arr just tweeted this article. I follow them so I can get a discount when they have sales but anyway tts a pretty good article that shows some positives findings with TRT. Nice to see when most mainstream stuff you read is negative.

I found it interesting how they mentioned the possible benefit a 5ar inhibitor may offer to a trt protcol. Managing DHT lelvls and thus decreasing risks. It was also good to learn that the topical gels result in higher DHT levels than injections do levels because of the presence of 5ar in skin tissue whereas injections convert to dht at a lower rate for this same reason. Many may have known this, I was unaware.

When I first started TRT on agel my dht when through the roof. Not that it's really that bad of a thing as dht gets a bad rap, but my BW definitely proved that theory.

Yeah it seems like a lot of the evils formerly attributed to DHT are now being associated with elevated estrogen, not DHT. I just never knew that about the transdermals though. Interesting.

Do the gels or transdermals aromatize more as well? Just thinking if there is a higher conversion to dht from the presence of 5ar is there also the same when it comes to estrogen since aromatase is present in body fat?

You are absolutely correct. Both aromatase and 5AR play a part in this conversion process. This doesn't mean there's anything wrong with gels though. DHT is a good thing (in perspective) and gels also mimic the diurnal nature of testosterone better than injections.

Nice article Jimmy, interesting to say the least . Did not know about the transdermals elevating DHT so much... Kels BW confirms lol

Why do the transdermals always get over looked? I mean I did right away too(the obvious benefits of course) but most seem to want there T levels as high as possible(I know this isn't the right approach I'm just using it as an example)?!

I don't think they're over-looked, especially by doctors as gels are pushed hard by the industry and are the easiest and possibly the safest way for doc's to go. Remember, most doc's are not trained in hormones so this is simple for them. To many it's just a lifestyle issue. It gets old slathering that stuff on every day.
When I did use it I felt good, just after time I could not maintain the levels I wanted. Absorption issues seem to creep up with gels, anecdotally at least.

Nice to see this article, and especially in Urology Times, which has quite a good circulation amongst urologists.

There are a couple of studies that have shown there is a huge time lag between when we have scientific evidence for something, and when that something becomes widely used in clinical practice. The average amount of time for this is widely quoted as being 17 years! But I think we are somewhere in the middle of that figure for TRT, and seeing articles like the one posted are sure to get urologists thinking about injections where they might not have considered them before.

Some more good news: Life Extension Magazine, June 2015 - the cover story is Testosterone Improves Quality of Life with Abraham Morgentaler on the cover and an excerpt from his new book inside.

As many know, each article is researched and foot noted extensively.

My last 2 months protocol i was on 100mg Test split 2 a week and 750ius of HCG split also.

Honestly im feeling great and i dropped the Examstane to 6.25 like every week to 10 days.

I read an older thread of yours that you were pinning .25 test every other day. I wanted to try that so should i split the HCG also and just pin in the same needle? The other reason I was getting these lumps in my stomach that would take 1week to go down so the lower dose every other day now theres no lumps.

I wanted to test this way to see if i can drop the Stane.

    What do you think?

Sounds like a plan to me. I do daily - 100iu hCG and 14-15mg T in the same syringe and taking 12.5 Aromasin every 7 days.
    Works well.
