When you test for thyroid function what tests do you do?
TSH t3 t4 rt3 and thyroid antibodies.

The first two.
You don't need thyroid antibodies done every time, but if you are making changes to hopefully improve the number, or initially than yes. Also if on medication it might be a good thing to test reverse T3 if you are responding poorly to medication, for example, proper TSH and free T3 levels, yet hypothyroid symptoms.
