Hey whats up fellas? So im 27 and about to start TRT. Had bloods pulled in January, came back at 304 ng/ml, and free test at 56. According to the specs technically low is 296 ng/ml and free test at 54.
Soon after i had to go through some chemotherapy, both drugs have a residual side effect of leaving men with low t. After i finished up chemo my oncologist agreed i needed replacement. He felt i needed it before the chemo and is dead certain i am clinical low after chemo.
We just sent off for a LH test so ensure its not a pituitary problem. I have been getting bloods drawn weekly for 6 months due to cancer ive had every blood test imaginable so my oncologist feels the pituitary is fine but might as well check JIC.
My question is should i order any further test to find out what the problem could be. I dont want to be married to the needle, but my quality of life is suffering. As of now my oncologist is fine with giving me 1cc every two weeks of test e 250 mg/ml or 1/2 cc weekly. He said we'll pull bloods if its not too high and my body can handle it then thats where i will stay. If i have problems beyond that ill be referred to a specialist.
Reason i a asking is i want to be around for a while. I dont want to make a that could potentially harm me or cut my life short i know dumping exogenous mount of test into your system over time can increase wear and tear on your heart and respiratory systems. Plus the high RBC that can come out of it too.
Any help is much obliged!
