    Zinc and boron

Hey guys, been reading about these 2. I would like to start throwing them into my daily life. Was wondering if anyone knew good brands and how much a 265 pound male should take. I did some research but the members here know ALOT more.

10mg boron , and 100mg zinc per day... I actually have no idea ,but I'm sure some one will answer now.

I was wondering the same thing. My zinc tabs come in 30mg tabs and I have been hitting three a day.

There is also an interesting thread on acne that has zinc ,and vitamin B5 as a base. I had no idea Zinc helped with skin health.

There is also a newer thread on Boron suggesting it raised T levels. I think the study participants where given 10mg per day of boron ( don't quote me on that).

Hey you might want to research zinc toxicity. The upper top limit for zinc supplementation is 40mg/day from the research I have read.

It's higher than that, as 100-150 mg/day is not uncommon dose, but it is worth noting that there IS a toxic level, and anyone taking it (unless under the care of a professional who has checked levels) should be aware of that.

Thanks for the heads up on Zinc, I'll back off a bit. I guess anything used to kill moss can't be all that safe.

To add a question to the post, in the beginning taking zinc for me was fine and great, now everytime I take it I feel like vomiting. Am i "overdosing" on zinc? And this will lead to not absorbing other vitamins? like my vitamin D and so forth?

I had the same thing with zinc every time I took it I would get nauseous I had to stop taking it I'm not sure about blocking the absorption of other vitamins.
