    TRT in Australia.... Clomid?

Does anyone know the legal situation here in Aus?

Its so backwards here that I assume an integrative GP who is open to providing test isn't legally allowed to give Clomid? But I just wanted to check.

I know of a specialist who apparently can but they are very expensive, so just wanted do double check if GPs can legally do it?

    Thanks for any help.

yes they can- testosterone law has changed now- your gp will need to refer you to an endo first before trt is allowed.

clomid isnt on that list officiclly.

You need to test below 6nmol 2 or 3 times before your even considered. Used to be 8, now its 6. Good luck lol .

Mikzsan, do you need TRT? Post up some current BW.

Need is subjective. I know I dont qualifiy officially as ive never tested anywhere near 6 or even 8 feeling my worst. This was all be prescribed off label through 'anti ageing' GPs.

    Here's my latest bloods...

Taken 30min after I woke up.

    Age: 30

    S LH: 3.8 IU/L (1.8-9.2)
    S Oestradiol: 54 pmol/L (<160)
    S Testo: 14.2 nmol/L (12-31.9)
    S SHBG: 33 nmol/L (17-56)
    cfreetesto: 308 pmol/L (260-740)
    DHEAs: 4.5 umol/L (4.3-15)

    S Cortisol-AM: 190 nmol/L (170-550)

    S Free T4: 13.7 pmol/L (11-22)
    S Free T3: 4.8 pmol/L (3.2-6.4)
    S TSH: 1.28 mU/L (0.5 -5.0)

    Thanks

StickStick it out with anti aging Dr. Nobody will help you under the pbs . It will all be private script

I'm on private and test is cheap. $30 for 2+ months why do you need clomid if you are on test trt?.

Yeh will do thanks. PBS is hopeless for this stuff. Clomid is more convenient, cheaper, and won't give you that shut down feel.

With your T levels, I would be happy hahah! I am at low 8 nmol and never really went above 14-15 when on 7 weekly TRT.

Ah same...do you mind sharing your Drs name? (in PM maybe). Mine is open to continue TRT but can't give clomid. Told me one who can but is very expensive (400/hr) Want to keep options open before I book in with him. Thanks

if a dr can give trt they can certainly give clomid- your dr is a goose.

Things are a bit different in Aus. Clomid has no indications here for Hypogonadism.

im from australia (not canada)- and i was prescribed tamoxifen off script- im sure clomid would also be legal to prescribe off script considering its 1st generation and i was given 2nd generation drug.

id seriously consider a new anti aging dr.

Ah yeah , thanks for that. Finding that 1 in 100 here is a bit difficult. Is there any info available as to competent drs in Aus? Or pretty much just picking random 'anti ageing' GPs till you find one who's open to clomid etc.

Unfortunately its hit or miss, try printing off studies and showing your Dr about clomid therapy. Or try the A5m website for antiaging drs if you can't get any success. Just don't give up. Or import it yourself

I'll PM u with the detail mate, but they cost $500 for the first session, basically first session is just blood test, they won't give u any prescription, second session $250
