Just curious because I've been going every 2 weeks. Hemoglobin was in the 17s and last check was 15.4. The doc wants to get it into the 13s.
Opinions?

Every 6-8 weeks here. Sometimes I will stretch it to 12 weeks, but not if I can help it.
Let me clarify, I don't actually donate, I do it at home. I gave blood, tested positive for hep b, assured them I've never had it and have been vaccinated against it since I was a small child. I didn't have time to waste convincing them that I didn't have a mystery case of hep b and just started doing it in my own.
Can't donate have immune issues so nobody wants my tainted shot. I'll just bleed every 6-8 weeks my wife's a nurse which makes it easy. Just did my first one this week actually.
I have therapeutics as needed. Normally anywhere from 8 to 15 weeks. I keep an eye on it and when it nears 48 I have some blood drawn.
How do you every two weeks? I donate at red Cross I was under the impression they monitor your donations.
I have a script for a therapeutic draw from my trt doc.
Ok stupid question,
Why do you guys need to donate ?
TRT can elevate hematocrit (red blood cell concentration) to unhealthy levels. Donating blood reduces hematocrit.Quote:
