TRT for the Past 7 years.. Please Help

So I've been on a .5cc dose weekly of Test Cyp for the last 7 years.

When I started this stuff helped me immensely.

I was depressed for weeks on end and had serious mood swings to the point of being suicidal.

Found this forum and found a good doctor in Houston and was FINALLY happy.

Now 7 years later I'm having severe problems again.

I was getting so depressed after my injection that I became suicidal again. I would feel fine the day of generally, but the next day I could barely breathe the depression was so bad and I just simply wanted to die.

So I talked to my doctor here in Austin (new doc had to move from Houston) we did a blood test and all my levels are in the appropriate ranges. So after that we split up the injections to twice weekly.

Hoping that it would level out my mood.

It HAS leveled out my mood SLIGHTLY.

I now have gone from being severely depressed two days out of the week (usually two days post injection) to being just normally depressed/sad pretty much all week with the exception of maybe a day or two.

I'm not AS bad as I was but I'm seeing none of the benefits I've had for the last 7 years and I'm just feeling horrible.

At this point I just don't know what to do so if someone can please help me and offer some sort of salvation I would be eternally grateful.

Well, - I have gone through enough depression of my own. Caused from just mental anxiety to severe anxiety caused by stopping my extensive abuse of different substances.

Hormones have a lot to do with our mental stability & focus - But, not all

Try to dig deeper into the cause

Running a TRT dose for the last 3+ months myself after 3 years of heavy gear use & I feel damn near 100% 7 days of the week. This includes myself staying sober & clean.

Depression is a difficult subject & everyone's seems a little different.

I would say maybe it's time to seek therapy? Hormones aren't the only thing that's going to make you feel depressed. Especially if you are feeling suicidal, I'd say seek someone to deal with your mental health. Good luck dude.

Give your T dose in milligrams since we don't know the strength of you vial of T.

Also, what is your status on control of estradiol? Too high or too low can make a mess of things.

List your complete protocol here so we get a better idea of who you are and what you're doing.

I take DHEA and 100mg of test weekly.

That's split up in to two times a week now so 50mg every 3.5 days

I think from research that my Est is probably low since I exhibit a lot of the signs (depression, frequent urination, joint pain) But my doc doesn't even test for that... been trying to find another doc but I haven't had luck.

I'm thinking I need HCG but I'm not positive.

There must be more than just a sudden onset of depression. What's going on in your life and what other substances safe you taking?. Please take the time to post up your last blood work. That's all we can do is to look and at least get that sorted out, the rest will be up to you. Don't give up, but please make the effort to help us help you. Good luck

Everything the guys said above. Post it up! Estradiol (sensitive assay) is hugely important to overall balance. Also remember that one set dose will not last you a lifetime as our bodies change requiring titrations and/or additions/subtractions to protocols.

Couple quick examples: Your SHBG level. It will rise with age resulting in less available free T. It's also quite common for guys to go for years without needing an AI to suddenly need one at a low dosage, and so on...

Moral of the story is simply things change. It they didn't we'd all get dialed in and not need further BW.

    Thanks guys will do.

I'll have to get him to test for the Estradiol because I don't think they currently test for that.

Makes sense though that as I'm getting older I need to adjust things.

Thanks for the suggestions, and I'll post up my results as soon as I get them.

I agree also with the above. I also have dealt with anxiety and depression when my hormones were all balanced naturally. Not everything g is hrt related. Once you rule out estradiol, seek help for the other possibilities. As someone once told me, hrt isn't the cure for everything nor the cause.

I have gone thru this exact issue over the past couple years, test made it all worse!!!

found out my adrenals were very fried! Found a great doc who did a 24 saliva test and realised my dhea and cortisol was really all over the place. Got some preg, dhea, adrenal cream and something else And now have started feeling great again, still bad days, but nothing like it was before!

Now my t, its very low, and i need to start my hcg and test asap, and ill see how it goes!

Get ur adrenals checked, along w estro as suggested as well! Also get ur dhea and preg checked if u can?
